Where are we?
Five years later american politics are fractured, divisive and partisan.
Five years later world views are that america is more of a threat to 'peace' than anyone else?
Five years later Bin Laden is the prime beneficiary of Pakistan's surrender of sovereignty of it's own land to tribes in Waziristan. Tribes who have been and are seedbed of the progenitors of ignorance, the Taliban.
Five years later the war remains one against a TACTIC, without a root, with an enemy barely named.
Five years later this administration has yet to ask the american people to take part in this huge civilizational struggle except to keep on going to the mall.
Five years later no government official in either party speaks relentlessly against the real enemy, the teaching of hate, violence and religious supremacy, based in what a fourth of this world believes is the immutable word of god.
Five years later the PC governments of a europe with declining populations can barely mention the words EURABIA, DHIMMI, and moral cowardice rules a multinational suicide pact. It is as if 60 years later, the National Socialists are succeeding in drawing down a dark curtain of mental fog over Kant, Gibbon and Samuel Johnson. Those who speak out like Oriana Fallaci and Melanie Phillips are seen as shrill, hysterical bigots.
Five years later it should be clear that we cannot lose except by witholding our own hands.
Five years later we can see the dangers in limiting our own freedoms from potential government invasions of our own privacies, but have not yet as a nation made a value judgement about whether we are ready to do those things we may well need to. Winning requires sacrifices, some of which may be to be perceived as rather unpleasant, occasionally bullying, rigid, uncompromising and suffer unpleasantness.
Five years later the teaching of what established those who hate enough enough to kill us in faith they are headed for unlimited sex and wine precisely for doing so, goes on, unabated, unnamed, unremarked, untainted, and in the darkness beneath our own freedoms of religion("Thanks to your democratic laws we will invade you; thanks to our religious laws we will dominate you."), rather be exposed for the Klu Klux Klan University of racist violence it truly is.
Thus, five years on, we are still struggling to come to terms with the nature of the enemy.
