Following are excerpts from a drama show presented at the Gaza
Islamic University, during a festival commemorating Hamas founder Ahmad
Yassin. The show aired on Al-Aqsa TV on April 3, 2009.
Jewish father: We Jews hate the Muslims. We love killing
Muslims. We Jews love drinking the blood of Muslims and the blood of
Arabs. Are you Arabs? Are you Muslims? I hate you. Yes, I hate you. I
hate you in order to please God. In order to please God... In order to
please God...
Shimon, his son: Dad, I don't know how God could possibly be
pleased with you when you stink so much. You haven't taken a shower for
two years, yet you talk about pleasing God.
Father: In order to please God...
Shimon, my son, I'd like to teach you something. You must hate the Muslims.
Shimon: Of course I hate them.
Father: You must drink from the blood of Muslims.
Shimon: But mix it with soda water.
When I was a kid in the Bronx we used get Egg Creams from the candy stores with soda fountains, which was Fox's UBET, Milk and Seltzer.
Now muslim blood and soda, gee if we only had that, I know I would have been the first kid picked at stickball games on Bryant Avenue. Sounds so fortifying and satisfying !
Does anyone wonder if these morons actually have clue how truly, galactically STUPID they sound? How hopelessly ignorant and tribal they sound? Or are those who might have said 'guys, wait a second before we broadcast this play' hanging from piano wires and flying off buildings?
The Jews of Venezuela are now living in a country that has state sponsored anti-Semitism and on top of that it is a country that has allied itself with Iran and Hezbollah.
This past week four of us traveled on a solidarity mission to
visit with the Jews of Caracas, Venezuela. I had the honor of
traveling with Rabbi Avi Weiss, Gabe Ledeen of our congregation, and
Rabbi Adam Scheier of Congregation Shaar Hashamayim in Montreal.
For the past few years we have been hearing of anti-Semitic attacks -- verbal and physical -- against the Jewish community of Venezuela and we felt the need to visit the community and express our solidarity with them.
There are three words that summarize what we saw in the Jewish community.
The first word is fear.
There is tremendous fear right now in Venezuela. In the general community there is fear, but that fear is greatly compounded in the Jewish community.
When I innocently asked someone if they were afraid, they
said, "of course, we are all afraid." Everyone we met with--every
single person--expressed fear about the situation.
Here are some examples of how the fear has manifested itself:
During Israel's recent war in Gaza,
the Jewish schools remained open, but their school buses stopped
running. The community felt it was too dangerous and too much of a
target for children to go to school that way. The rhetoric of the
government against Israel was too dangerous and incendiary.
Wherever we went, we felt that the Jewish community was
literally under siege. Every Jewish institution is in a compound. When
entering a Jewish organization, one must first go through enormous
security -- a double door/wall entrance -- similar to the ones in
prisons -- and a serpentine path to protect against terrorist attacks. Every Jewish facility is surrounded by very solid and high protective walls.
We were told by many members of the community that it was no
longer safe to walk on the street. It was considered far too dangerous.
Leader after leader told us that Chavez not only created the
climate for the attacks with his incendiary remarks but that he was
also more directly responsible.
Anyone who says zionism is racism IS POSITIVELY ANTISEMITIC Anyone who says Israel must exit within suicide borders IS POSITIVELY ANTISEMITIC Anyone who thinks Israel's existence is not compulsory for this microscopic, unbelievably vulnerable ultraminority either is a complete fool, ahistoric moron OR IS POSITIVELY ANTISEMITIC
Jews inevitably are not hated because of Israel, Israel is hated because it is full of jews. Jews have been hated THOUSANDS of years with no Israel. Nothing is different. Nothing will ever be different. That's just how it is.
Gates, under Obama, raises the bar on criteria for U.S. action in Iran A senior official asserted that President Barack Obama was unlikely to order the
destruction of
Iran's nuclear weapons facilities.
Instead, Obama was expected to first
determine whether a nuclear Iran would constitute a direct threat to the
United States.
"I think that the barrier first of all will be are we going to be
attacked here at home," Defense Secretary Robert Gates said.In a television interview on March 12, Gates appeared to reverse years
of U.S. warnings that it would consider all options, including military, to
stop Iran's nuclear weapons program. Instead, Gates asserted that neither
Obama nor his successor would rely on U.S. intelligence assessments on
whether Iran has already reached the capability to produce atomic bombs.
"He is going to ask a lot of very hard questions," Gates said. "And I
think that hurdle is much higher today than it was six or seven years ago."
U.S. intelligence breaks with Israel's on nuclear headway by Iran
The U.S. intelligence community has disputed an
assessment by its Israeli counterpart and the Pentagon regarding Iran's nuclear program.
In an assessment that played down warnings by U.S. military chiefs, the
American intelligence community determined that Iran has failed to produce
highly-enriched uranium, required for the assembly of nuclear weapons. Two
leading U.S. intelligence officials said Iran was not known to have begun
refining low-enriched uranium into fuel that could be installed into a
missile warhead.
OH?
Officials said the U.S. intelligence community and military dispute
Iran's progress toward nuclear weapons. On March 1, Adm. Michael Mullen, the
chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Teheran has accumulated enough
fissile material to produce a nuclear bomb.
Within hours, senior officials in the Obama administration, including
Defense Secretary Robert Gates, disagreed with Mullen. Later, the admiral
issued a clarification.
"There are differences among the [U.S.] intelligence communities," Blair
said. "Our current estimate is that the minimum time at which Iran could
technically produce the amount of highly-enriched uranium for a nuclear
weapon is 2010."
Would that be the same Blair who appointed Charles Freeman?
Could the effort to silence any dissent in favor of counter NIE ideas be any more transparent?
In other words, Israel, if it believes its findings to be accurate, should prepare not only to act alone, but to suffer the consequences alone after Iran reacts. In fact the Obama admin may actually be hoping Israel strikes as this both potentially defangs Iran, and gives THEM the excuse they need to turn their back on Israel after this 'aggression' in favor of America's arab 'allies' and 'friends'
Today's Independent provides a classic example of the anti-Israel
lobby thesis morphing seamlessly into the classic antisemitic Jewish
power motif.
The article, by Rupert Cornwell,
is ostensibly about the resignation of Charles Freeman as head of the
National Intelligence Council. It is headlined: " 'Israel lobby' blamed
as Obama's choice for intelligence chief quits".
The opening paragraph, however, morphs the 'Israel lobby' into
"the Jewish lobby". It begins: "Fears over the Jewish lobby's excess
influence on US foreign policy flared anew yesterday...".
It goes on to quote from Charles Freeman himself: "declaring he had
fallen victim to what he [Freeman] called the 'Israel lobby' ". Next,
Cornwell tells us that Freeman's thesis "exactly reflect the thesis of"
Walt & Mearshemier's book "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy"
about the malign impact of "the Jewish state's supporters".
Cornwell then quotes Stephen Walt on the Freeman episode and Walt's
words are placed in a highlights sidebar, "For all of you who
questioned if there was a powerful 'Israel lobby', think again". The
article ends by recalling that, "Pat Buchanan, a right-wing commentator
and erstwhile presidential candidate, once described Capitol Hill as
'Israeli-occupied territory' ".
So, there we have it then. The Independent's correspondent
Rupert Cornwell knows better than Freeman, Walt and (even) Pat
Buchanan. This isn't all about the "Israel lobby", its all about "the
Jewish lobby".
Egyptian Cleric Muhammad Hussein Ya'qoub: The Jews are the Enemies of
Muslims Regardless of the Occupation of Palestine; 'Believe That We
Will Fight, Defeat, and Annihilate Them, Until Not a Single Jew Remains
on the Face of the Earth'
"If the Jews left Palestine to us, would we start loving them? Of
course not. We will never love them. Absolutely not. The Jews are
infidels - not because I say so, and not because they are killing
Muslims, but because Allah said: 'The Jews say that Uzair is the son of
Allah, and the Christians say that Christ is the son of Allah. These
are the words from their mouths. They imitate the sayings of the
disbelievers before. May Allah fight them. How deluded they are.' It is
Allah who said that they are infidels.
"Your belief regarding the Jews should be, first, that they are
infidels, and second, that they are enemies. They are enemies not
because they occupied Palestine. They would have been enemies even if
they did not occupy a thing. Allah said: 'You shall find the strongest
men in enmity to the disbelievers [sic] to be the Jews and the
polytheists.' Third, you must believe that the Jews will never stop
fighting and killing us. They [fight] not for the sake of land and
security, as they claim, but for the sake of their religion: 'And they
will not cease fighting you until they turn you back you're your
religion, if they can.'
"This is it. We must believe that our fighting with the Jews is
eternal, and it will not end until the final battle - and this is the
fourth point. You must believe that we will fight, defeat, and
annihilate them, until not a single Jew remains on the face of the
Earth."
"As For You Jews - The Curse of Allah Upon You... You Pigs of
the Earth! You Kill the Muslims With That Cold Pig [Blood] Of Yours"
"It is not me who says so. The Prophet said: 'Judgment Day will
not come until you fight the Jews and kill them. The Jews will hide
behind stones and trees, and the stones and tree will call: Oh Muslim,
oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him -
except for the Gharqad tree, which is the tree of the Jews.' I have
heard that they are planting many of these trees now.
Charles Freeman Jr., President Barack Obama's choice for a major
intelligence post, has withdrawn his name and blamed pro-Israel
lobbying groups for his decision, saying they had distorted his record
and campaigned against him.
Freeman's withdrawal Tuesday from consideration as chairman of the
National Intelligence Council came just hours after Dennis Blair,
director of national intelligence, vigorously defended him and said his
comments had been taken out of context.
In a message to colleagues and friends, first posted Tuesday evening
on Foreign Policy magazine's Web site, Freeman blamed pro-Israel groups
for the controversy, saying the "tactics of the Israel Lobby plumb the
depths of dishonor and indecency and include character assassination,
selective misquotation, the willful distortion of the record, the
fabrication of falsehoods, and an utter disregard for the truth."
Well the entire videos ARE available, and WERE the basis for the factuals statements about him, but I would hate to seem him depart stage Buchanan right without this kind of bigoted shot.
Former
investigator of 1994 terror attack Claudio Lifschitz says hooded men
forced him into their car, tattooed case file number on his arm with
blowtorch and told him 'not to mess' with internal security service
The Argentinean daily Clarin reported
Saturday that Claudio Lifschitz, a former investigator of the 1994
bombing of the Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, claimed he was
kidnapped and tortured by elements trying to coerce him into disclosing
documents related to the case.
The attack on the Argentine-Israel Mutual Association (AMIA) building, which was carried out with an explosives-laden truck, left 85 people dead and hundreds wounded. Following a lengthy investigation, in March 2007 Interpol issued arrest warrants for five Iranians and a Lebanese national it suspects were behind the attack. Tehran has repeatedly denied any link to the bombing, and thus far no one has been indicted for either orchestrating or perpetrating the attack. Israel, the US and Argentina continue to argue that Hizbullah was behind the act, and also blame Iran, which supports the Lebanese Shiite group.
In 2008 Lifschitz, the former adjunct secretary to the judge who headed the AMIA bombing investigation, Juan José Galeano, reported to the Argentinean congress of alleged irregularities in the probe - which eventually led to its collapse.
Lifschitz's attorney told the C5N television station that on Friday night, at around midnight, a passing car forced his client to pull over in Buenos Aires' Villa Devoto neighborhood. He was then whisked away by unknown assailants, the attorney said.
According to Lifschitz, the kidnappers covered his head with a garbage bag, and, using a blowtorch, tattooed the case file number on his arm and the letters A-M-I-A on his back. "A van passed me by and hooded men stepped out of it," he recalled. "They forced me to climb into their vehicle, placed a garbage bag over my head and told me not to mess with SIDE (the Argentinean internal security service). They questioned me a number of times about tapes that tie Iran to the terror attack. They told me 'you can relax, we won't murder you. You'll live until we decide otherwise'." After taking away his cell phone, the assailants released Lifschitz near the police academy building in the capital.
10/23/2008 Alberto
Nisman, ordered the confiscation of $1,000,000 (one million
dollars) from bank accounts belonging to Hezbollah and to former
Iranian officials, including former President Hashemi Rafsanjani and
ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Akbar Velayati.
Rafsanjani
has been widely hailed in the west as a moderate, and practical man who
can be talked with in order to advance relations.
The
indictment is based on the civil claim initiated by one of the
victims injured during the 1994 attack and whose identity remains
confidential (see http://www.wiesenthal.com/site/apps/nlnet/content2.aspx?c=fwLYKnN8LzH&b=4423615&ct=3352753). The indictment states in part that the bombing "had structural support from the IranianState as well as from the Lebanese group Hizbullah for its organization, financing and operation."
"This
new indictment by Prosecutor Nisman strengthens the fight for justice
for the victims of the AMIA bombing. We call on the international
community to support this legal effort on behalf of innocent victims of
terror as well for the strengthening of mechanisms to prevent the
financing of terrorism," said Dr. Shimon Samuels, Director for
International Relations of the SimonWiesenthalCenter.
"Our
Center applauds this measure, and stands in solidarity with someone who
has bravely initiated a civil claim against the terrorists and the
senior Iranian government officials involved in this heinous crime. We
hope that the Prosecutor's indictment will encourage other victims to
seek to use the legal system to strike a blow against the terrorists
who shattered their lives. We also hope Argentina's
indictment will serve as a model for all victims of terrorism," added
Sergio Widder, Latin American Representative of the Center.

People speak of anti-Semitism as if it were a monolithic evil. But
it's not. There are two distinct strains of Jew hatred. Unfortunately,
our society is still fixated on fighting the one that went out of style
four decades ago.
The difference between the two begins with the way Jews are
depicted. Look at the images on this page. The one on the left, a
poster published in German-occupied Poland in 1941, exemplifies the
Jew-hatred spouted by the Nazis. (The caption reads: "Jews and Lice:
They cause typhus.") The image on the right, a poster circulated on
Canadian campuses this week to mark "Israel Apartheid Week," typifies
the more recent variant.
Aside from the obvious -- the language and style of illustration -- what crucial difference do you notice?
In the Nazi poster, the Jew is a piece of filth -- a rogue pathogen
within gentile society. The image perfectly captures Hitler's view of
Jews as a "bacillus infecting the life of peoples."
Now look at the image on the right. Aside from retaining the general
sense that the Jew (or, to give the fig leaf its due, "the Jewish
state") is a scourge upon the world, everything has changed. The Jew is
no longer diseased and wretched. Just the opposite: He is an
omnipotent, teched up superman, murdering a defenseless Palestinian
child from above.
In this latter detail -- the use of a child victim to communicate the
extent of the Jew's evil -- the anti-Israeli propaganda of today is
similar to the posters and textbooks of the Nazi era, which often
showed shadowy Hebrews menacing German children.
Every grudge held against JEWS by the left finds it's root because Israel has decided to live, if nothing else, as an ultimate refuge for the Jews, whose history in this world has been but one thing.
As in the Nazi era, the Jew isn't fully human -- but now he's an all-powerful Nazgûl instead of a pitiful Gollum.
What explains this radical transition in the presentation of anti-Semitic propaganda? Three factors.
The first is ideology: When the Nazis went down to defeat, they took
with them the intellectual basis of "germ-theory" anti-Semitism -- the
toxic notion that certain races or groups are genetically inferior or
parasitical. In our era, to compare Jews to leeches is to announce
oneself as a bigoted creature from society's discredited fringe.
The second reason is tied up with the history of Israel itself:
After the Jews established their own state in 1948, it became
impossible to typecast them as mere parasites contaminating foreign
hosts. This was especially true after the Six-Day War of 1967, in which
Israel scored a crushing military victory against Egypt, Jordan and
Syria -- not the sort of maneuver you'd expect from typhus-stricken old
men.
The third reason is political: The leaders who find anti-Semitism
useful today aren't extreme nationalists such as Hitler, Stalin or
Mussolini (though Hugo Chavez admittedly has been wandering
into that territory). Instead, they are radical Muslims -- and their
allies in Western activist groups, who speak the tropes of
anti-colonialism, anti-imperialism, anti-Americanism, anti-racism and
all the other fashionable antis. In this left-wing intellectual
climate, disparaging any race or religion per se is off limits. The preferred tactic is to disparage the allegedly colonial, imperialist, racist etc. nature of their actions.
It also must be admitted that the anti-Semitism of today is a lot
more subtle than the old-fashioned variety: Except in clear cases of
blood libel such as the IAH poster, it's often hard to tell where
legitimate criticism of Israel ends and Jew-hatred begins. As a result,
Jews themselves -- middle-aged university professors and career feminists, most typically -- are often drawn into radicalized campaigns against Israel, and sometimes even can be seen marching gullibly arm-in-arm with Kafiyeh-clad protestors chanting for Jewish blood in Arabic.
It's a disgusting spectacle, especially when you hear their maudlin rhetoric -- "massacre," "crime against humanity," "genocide," "holocaust," etc
There can be no mistake that those on the left today who buy into the idea that Israel is a colonialist, murdering western power guilty of state terrorism, are more than naively culpable. These people may be idealistic fools (perhaps like our president), but they are smart enough to figure out the truth, and have the means to do so.
These are, in the end, moral and physical cowards, afraid to face, argue down, and turn away those whose untrammeled consciences insist on harming us, and every value handed to us.
There MAY have been a time when Israel's struggle was not ours, but that time is long, long gone, and it's expiration may have been ordained by the very NATURE of the Arab/Muslim rejection of the Jews in their midst, of their one and a half millennium long treatment of them, and of their Quranic insistence of their racial view of Jews which finds its match today on the left.
The
Inter-Parliamentary Coalition for Combating Anti-Semitism is meeting
today in London in the wake of the Gaza campaign, which ignited an
exponential eruption of global anti-Semitic frenzy unprecedented since
the Nazi era. The intensity of the anti-Jewish rage, frequently
accompanied by acts of violence, has engendered fear and anxiety among
Diaspora Jews and obliged many to seriously ponder their long-term
future.
On every continent and in virtually every city, enraged
demonstrators have railed against Israel and indulged in anti-Semitic
calls to "boycott Jews," "gas" them and "dismantle the Nazi Israeli
state." The anti-Jewish offensives, usually initiated by Arabs, have
been supported by wide spectrums of indigenous citizens.
Jew-baiting is especially intense in the UK. Prominent Jews
encounter death threats. Students at Oxford University have gleefully
proclaimed that in five years, their campus "would be a Jew-free zone."
A high-ranking British diplomat was arrested after publicly launching a
foul-mouthed anti-Semitic tirade. The London-based Royal Court Theatre
is staging a viciously anti-Israeli play by Caryl Churchill that
Melanie Phillips described in the Spectator as reminiscent of anti-Semitic plays performed in the Middle Ages portraying Jews as demonic Christ-killers.
In many European cities, Jews encounter violence in the streets.
In Italy, a labor union has called for a boycott of all Jewish
businesses. In France, synagogues have been attacked and cars belonging
to Jews firebombed. A Swedish school has refused to accept Jewish
students. A leading Norwegian TV entertainer was sufficiently
insensitive to jokingly express regret for the billions of innocent
lice killed with Jews in gas chambers. The Barcelona municipality
canceled a Holocaust memorial because "making a Jewish Holocaust
ceremony whilst a Palestinian Holocaust was taking place was not
right"; simultaneously, 30,000 Barcelonans marched in support of Hamas.
Elsewhere, the deputy South African foreign minister was
obliged to apologize after making a statement railing against Jewish
money that controlled America; in Turkey, in the wake of Prime Minister
Recep Tayyip Erdogan's histrionic outbursts against Israel, Jewish
institutions were vandalized and calls were made to boycott Jewish
businesses; there were violent anti-Jewish riots at York University in
Toronto, Canada.
The onslaught against the Venezuelan Jewish community by
President Hugo Chavez, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's ally,
included demands for the Jews to condemn Israel and calls to boycott
Jewish enterprises. There is now concern that other Latin American
governments like Argentina, imbued with anti-Semitism bolstered by
Iranian-sponsored Arab migrants, could also embark on anti-Jewish
campaigns.
Even in the United States, where public opinion remains
overwhelmingly supportive of Israel, the blatantly anti-Semitic
demonstrations in major cities have shocked many American Jews hitherto
confident that unlike in Europe, anti-Semitism would never reassert
itself in their country. The increasing dominance of anti-Israeli
elements on most campuses provides additional grounds for concern
because ultimately many of these youngsters will become leaders of the
nation.
THE USE of holocaust inversion to demonize Israel, and the
bracketing of Israelis with Nazis, have extended from the Arab arena
into the mainstream and are now sanctioned as legitimate political
discourse. Today, much of what purports to be criticism of Israel even
in the "respectable" media is reminiscent of Nazi anti-Semitic
propaganda.
The role of renegade "non-Jewish Jews" seeking to delegitimize
Israel has also dramatically escalated, and extends beyond calls to
boycott Israel. For example, the Web site of the notorious Norman
Finkelstein recently reproduced 40 horrific photographs displaying Nazi
atrocities juxtaposed with images of purported Israeli atrocities in
Gaza. It was titled "The grandchildren of the Holocaust survivors are
doing to the Palestinians exactly what was done to the Jews in Nazi
Germany." This obscenity was widely distributed throughout the Internet
by left-wingers, Arabs and radical right-wingers like Pat Buchanan. It
was also promoted by a Norwegian diplomat in Saudi Arabia, who
transmitted the vile collage on her embassy's e-mail.
There appear to be no limits to the depths to which these
despicable Jewish foes of Zion are willing to stoop to demonize their
own people. In an article published in the purportedly respectable London Review of Books,
Henry Siegman, a former director of the American Jewish Congress,
hailed Hamas as an Arab national liberation movement comparable to the
pre-state Zionist underground movements. British Labor parliamentarian
Gerald Kaufman exceeded his previous foul outbursts by proclaiming that
Israeli soldiers reminded him of the Nazis who had cold-bloodedly
murdered his grandmother while she was in bed.
"My grandmother did not die to provide cover for Israeli soldiers to murder Palestinian grandmothers," he said.
Jonathan Freedland of the Guardian, after reassuring his
readers that he had consistently and unequivocally condemned Israel for
its Gaza campaign, pleaded with them not to blame Jews for the
atrocities committed by Israelis any more than Muslims who were not
guilty "because the killers of 9/11 and 7/7 had been Muslims." In many
European countries, including the UK, the media provide greater
exposure to the marginal Jewish anti-Zionists than to official Jewish
community spokesmen.
WHAT IS especially chilling is that in most countries, hatred
of Jews at the grassroots level is far more intense than government
policy. The talkbacks from even the more sophisticated Internet and
media publications reflect a dramatic escalation of ferocious hatred of
Jews. A recent Anti-Defamation League survey disclosed that 40 percent
of Europeans consider Jews to have too much power, and 31% believe Jews
are to blame for the current global financial meltdown. Needless to
say, the broad acceptance of such rabid views at the people's level
bodes ill for the future.
It is especially galling to witness this anti-Semitic pandemic
after the extraordinary efforts Israel made to avoid a conflict despite
all the years in which their civilians have been targeted by missiles.
Hamas's systematic and calculated exploitation of women and children as
human shields was effectively disregarded. Israel's efforts -
unprecedented in the history of warfare - to minimize civilian
casualties, were ignored. Yet the brutal means employed to suppress
terrorists in Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan (not to mention Chechnya)
and the killings in Congo, Zimbabwe and especially in Darfur, where
hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians have died, are hardly
mentioned. There is little doubt that the Gaza campaign merely provided
a pretext to unleash pent-up anti-Semitism.
Regrettably, the frenzy will undoubtedly increase as perfidious
allegations of Israeli war crimes are intensified and the newly elected
government is demonized for being "intransigent and racist."
THE MONEY LINES
ALAS, THE ZIONIST DREAM that a Jewish state would eradicate
anti-Semitism has proved to be a delusion. Ironically, today, Israel
itself is being exploited as a vehicle to promote anti-Semitism.
Yet the Zionist vision of a Jewish state representing a haven
for Jews in distress is a reality.
Diaspora Jews can at least feel
reassured that if they are unwilling to live like pariahs in societies
that revile them, there will always be a Jewish state willing to
embrace them. They will never face the nightmare that confronted Jews
prior to the Holocaust when their desperate pleas for entry visas to
escape from Nazism were nearly always denied.
Indeed, it would now be timely for Jews domiciled in countries
in which the hatred surrounding them is undermining the quality of
their lives, to undergo genuine soul-searching. The future for Jews in
some European countries is bleak, as resentment against them is
transformed into hatred and accompanied by violence. The United Kingdom
has already reached this level, and Anglo Jews who deny the reality of
the anti-Semitic cesspool surrounding them are truly in denial.
Diaspora Jews should now honestly contemplate the practicality
of creating new lives among their own people. Many may conclude that
there are insurmountable obstacles to packing up and coming to Israel.
But if they remain in anti-Semitic countries, they should at least
weigh the crippling impact on their children and consider encouraging
them to make aliya.
Anti-Semitism has always escalated during periods of economic
upheaval, and as the financial meltdown intensifies, the problem will
undoubtedly be aggravated. In addition, aside from the wealthy, many
who regard Jewish continuity as important will find it increasingly
difficult to afford the prohibitive school fees required to provide
children with a Jewish education. That may represent an additional
incentive to consider aliya.
The escalation of anti-Semitism must be a wake-up call for
Diaspora Jews. They should be aware that notwithstanding the
difficulties facing those wishing to settle in Israel, the standard of
living here today is a far cry from what it was half a century ago when
the Jewish state was still struggling to establish itself. For some
Jews, it is imperative that they review their options now, not at some
future date when further deterioration could transform aliya into a
stressful evacuation rather than a choice.
A
CHINESE bestseller titled The Currency War describes how Jews are
planning to rule the world by manipulating the international financial
system. The book is reportedly read in the highest government circles.
If so, this does not bode well for the international financial system,
which relies on well-informed Chinese to help it recover from the
present crisis.
Such conspiracy theories are
not rare in Asia. Japanese readers have shown a healthy appetite over
the years for books such as To Watch Jews is to See the World Clearly,
The Next Ten Years: How to Get an Inside View of the Jewish Protocols
and I'd Like to Apologise to the Japanese - A Jewish Elder's Confession
(written by a Japanese author, of course, under the made-up name of
Mordecai Mose). All these books are variations of The Protocols of the
Elders of Zion, the Russian forgery first published in 1903, which the
Japanese came across after defeating the tsar's army in 1905.
The Chinese picked up many modern Western ideas from the Japanese.
Perhaps this is how Jewish conspiracy theories were passed on as well.
But Southeast Asians are not immune to this kind of nonsense either.
Former Malaysian prime minister Mahathir Mohamed has said that "the
Jews rule the world by proxy. They get others to fight and die for
them." And a recent article in a leading business magazine in The
Philippines explained how Jews had always controlled the countries they
lived in, including the US today.
In the case of Mahathir, a twisted kind of Muslim solidarity is
probably at work. But, unlike European or Russian anti-Semitism, the
Asian variety has no religious roots. No Chinese or Japanese has blamed
Jews for killing their holy men or believed that their children's blood
ended up in Passover matzos. In fact, few Chinese, Japanese,
Malaysians, or Filipinos have ever seen a Jew, unless they have spent
time abroad.
So what explains the remarkable appeal of Jewish conspiracy theories
in Asia? The answer must be partly political. Conspiracy theories
thrive in relatively closed societies, where free access to news is
limited and freedom of inquiry curtailed. Japan is no longer such a
closed society, yet even people with a short history of democracy are
prone to believe that they are victims of unseen forces. Precisely
because Jews are relatively unknown, therefore mysterious, and in some
way associated with the West, they become an obvious fixture of
anti-Western paranoia.
Note the next line CAREFULLY...
Such paranoia is widespread in Asia, where almost every country was
at the mercy of Western powers for several hundred years.
Why, IT'S OUR FAULT ASIANS ALSO PRACTICE IGNORANCE AND BIGOTRY. Why if only we were better mankind would be different ...stupid schmucks. If we were better, we'd be better, and that's it.
Japan was
never formally colonised, but it too felt the West's dominance, at
least since the 1850s, when American ships laden with heavy guns forced
the country to open its borders on Western terms.
Yes, this explains the Greater East Asia Co Prosperity Sphere, and what happened in Shanghai in 1937. Are these guys for real?
The common conflation of the US with Jews goes back to the late 19th
century, when European reactionaries loathed America for being a
rootless society based only on financial greed. This perfectly matched
the stereotype of the rootless cosmopolitan Jewish moneygrubber. Hence
the idea that Jews run America.
One of the great ironies of colonial history is the way in which
colonised people adopted some of the same prejudices that justified
colonial rule. Anti-Semitism arrived with a whole package of European
race theories that have persisted in Asia well after they fell out of
fashion in the West.
This also explains why the Japanese think of the Koreans as barbaric subhumans, Koreans think of the Japanese as vile monsters (I personally witnessed both) and the Chinese look down on both, as well as the rest of the asian untermenschen.
In some ways, Chinese minorities in Southeast Asia have shared some
of the hostility suffered by Jews in the West. Excluded from many
occupations, they too survived by clannishness and trade.
Just like the 1.3 billion jews who also live in the third largest nation on the planet.
They too have
been persecuted for not being "sons of the soil". And they too are
thought to have superhuman powers when it comes to making money. So
when things go wrong, the Chinese are blamed not just for being greedy
capitalists, but also, again like the Jews, for being communists, as
both capitalism and communism are associated with rootlessness and
cosmopolitanism.
As well as being feared, the Chinese are admired for being cleverer
than everybody else. The same mixture of fear and awe is often evident
in people's views of the US and, indeed, of the Jews. Japanese
anti-Semitism is a particularly interesting case.
Japan was able to defeat Russia in 1905 only after a Jewish banker
in New York, Jacob Schiff, helped Japan by floating bonds. So The
Protocols of the Elders of Zion confirmed what the Japanese already
suspected: Jews really did pull the strings of global finance. However,
instead of wishing to attack them, the Japanese, being a practical
people, decided they would be better off cultivating those clever,
powerful Jews as friends.
As a result, during World War II, even as the Germans were asking
their Japanese allies to round up Jews and hand them over, dinners were
held in Japanese-occupied Manchuria to celebrate Japanese-Jewish
friendship. Jewish refugees in Shanghai, though never comfortable, at
least remained alive under Japanese protection.
This was good for the Jews of Shanghai. But the very ideas that
helped them to survive continue to muddle the thinking of people who
really ought to know better by now.
(IsraelNN.com) Two bullets grazed a window of the Sinai Jewish Center in Amstelveen, Holland's daily newspaper De Telegraaf
reported Wednesday.
Bulletproof glass prevented any casualties.
Now, why oh why would a mental health center in Amsterdam use bulletproof glass?
According to the report, the center's maintenance man discovered two
bullet holes on Tuesday that were fired towards the building's main
entrance. There were no injuries, and the motivation is unclear.
You're kidding, right? Maybe it's to KILL JEWS?
Two weeks ago, there was an arson attempt on a synagogue in
Amsterdam's southern district. Since Operation 'Cast Lead', security on
Jewish community property has been stepped up. "In the last month,
there were as many anti-Semitic incidents as there were throughout 2007
and what worries me the most is that they are of a much more serious
nature," says Ronny Naftaniel, director of Centre Information and
Documentation on Israel (CIDI). Naftaniel, who is currently in
Israel, added, "If anti-Semites have a gun, that goes a step further
than an arson attempt. That is bad, but anyone can."
Naftaniel
speaks of a 'next stage' of anti-Semitism in the Netherlands. Since the
IDF's operations against Hamas terrorists in Gaza, the number of
anti-Semitic incidents has grown.
Jews have no place in Europe. There is no aggressive work, or proactive undercover operations of any import to protect this tiny, historically oppressed, attacked, expelled and murdered in those lands. Any such successes would be the object of political grandstanding and self laudatory adulation.
Jews should leave Europe en masse. Whoever designed and approved this mental health center understands the situation quite well.
No one in Europe would shed a tear, and there might be less than 48 hrs of moderately expressed guilt, and then a sigh of relief. Europe might even get a break from the jihadis for about 6 months.
President Obama Does First Formal TV Interview as President with Al-Arabiya
January 26, 2009 6:29 PM
As special envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell heads off to the region
to begin work on negotiating a cease fire between Israel and the
Palestinians, President Obama has sat for his first formal TV interview
with the Arabic cable TV network Al-Arabiya, ABC News has learned.
The interview was taped this evening and is set to air at 11 pm ET, as Mitchell is in the air and on his way to the region.
Based in Dubai, Al-Arabiya estimates that it has a potential audience exceeding 23 million in the Gulf region.
There is no middle in this dispute between quranic genocidal mass murderers, mafia genocidal murderers and their intended victims except in hopeful delusion.
Mr. Obama is dangerously naive if he thinks there is any solution except in the HEART of the palestinian peoples
TWO:
NEW YORK - Former President Jimmy Carter says Israel
will face a "catastrophe" unless it revives the Mideast peace process
and establishes an independent Palestinian state.
Carter
pointed out in an interview with The Associated Press on Monday that
Arabs will outnumber Jews in the Holy Land in the foreseeable future.
He
said that would leave Israel with three options: expelling many
Palestinians, keeping the Palestinians but depriving them of equal
voting rights, or giving them equal voting rights, which would give the
Palestinians a majority.
He said that with the third option, one would no longer have a Jewish state.
Demographers predict that within ten years Arabs will outnumber
Jews in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza. Without a separate Palestinian
state the Israelis would have three options, none of them good. They
could try ethnic cleansing, drive the Palestinians out of the West
Bank, or they could give the Palestinians the vote. That would be the
democratic option but it would mean the end of the Jewish state. Or
they could try apartheid - have the minority Israelis rule the majority
Palestinians, but apartheid regimes don't have a very long life.
No one should harbor ANY DOUBT what this is about. This is the delusion that to be anti zionist is not anti semitic in the final analysis. Israel is a sanctuary after 2500 years of repression, expulsion, murder, pogroms, bigotry, genocide, and then repression, expulsion, and murder all over again since 1945. Nothing is any different. Israel is mandatory for jews to survive IN THIS WORLD. Therefore ZIONISM IS MANDATORY if jews are to survive.
Physician at Gaza's Shifa Hospital tells Italian newspaper number of dead in Israeli offensive 'stands at no more than 500 or 600, most of them youths recruited to Hamas' ranks'. Senior Palestinian Health Ministry official denies claims, IDF estimate on 1,200 casualties in Strip remains unchanged
What really is behind the numbers reported on the number of civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip? Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera reported Thursday that a doctor working in Gaza's Shifa Hospital claimed that Hamas has intentionally inflated the number of casualties resulting from Israel's Operation Cast Lead.
"The number of deceased stands at no more than 500 to 600. Most of them are youths between the ages of 17 to 23 who were recruited to the ranks of Hamas, who sent them to the slaughter," according to the newspaper article.
However, as it was in 2002, in Jenin the world CANNOT WAIT to declare as DER SPIEGEL said..."Thirteen hundred dead: That screams to the heavens. That is not an
issue of "proportionality," which is impossible in any asymmetrical
war. A pile of corpses like that is a nightmare, a catastrophe."
But of course, the 'news' reported by them is not factual in numbers, and as at Jenin, the 1200 which turned out to be 52, of whom 26 were positively ID'd as fighters, here now we have 1300, reduced to 500 or so, and most of them are HAMAS' genocidal murderers.
So why does world run again and again to believe these 'massacres' of delusion rather than say... ' we've been euchred by whoever is putting this out before '. What is it that makes whoever places these stories, and seeks to have them believed, need to believe evil of the jews?
Not that they are better or worse, but clearly news editors WANT the Israelis to be the icon for ...what?
Why?
Despite the claims, the IDF stood behind
its estimate that between 1,100 to 1,200 people were killed in the
Strip during the fighting, more than two-thirds of them Hamas members.
The army initially believed that the number of civilian casualties
was higher, as many Hamas men walked outside their houses dressed in
civilian clothes, leaving their weapons at home.A Tal al-Hawa resident told the newspaper's
reporter, "Armed Hamas men sought out a good position for provoking the
Israelis. There were mostly teenagers, aged 16 or 17, and armed.
You mean like HIzballah in Lebanon in the 80's?
They couldn't do a thing against a tank
or a jet. They knew they are much weaker, but they fired at our houses
so that they could blame Israel for war crimes."
The reporter for the Italian newspaper also quoted reporters in the
Strip who told of Hamas' exaggerated figures, "We have already said to
Hamas commanders - why do you insist on inflating the number of
victims?"
These same reporters mentioned that the truth that will come out is
likely to be similar to what occurred in Operation Defensive Shield in
Jenin. "Then, there was first talk of 1,500 deaths. But then it turned
out that there were only 54, 45 of which were armed men," the
Palestinian reporters told the Italian newspaper.
How can we believe ANYTHING coming out of Pallywood?
I mean, how much more boring can it be? Spain, Belgium, Florida, NY, England, 4th century, 10th century, 13th century, 20th century, 21st ...I mean it's just human nature for others to get the Jews so isn't it annoying to see all these stories about these pushy whiny Jews who see antisemitism everywhere?
The Holocaust was over 63 years ago, but they still complain. I mean, that was then. Now it's not about those jews, it's about Israel. That's why we dislike the jews.
These annoying jews just won't stop complaining....besides, it's all the jews fault. I mean there must be reason everyone hates them instinctively
Ignorance is stronger than knowledge Hatred and tribalism is stronger than thought and fact That is why we can never relent in this struggle
Hatred of the Jews is the icon for all that is not just weak but terribly weak in all humans.
We can never stamp this out. But we can stamp out those who parade it proudly before them.
"We're
going to make sure that the Palestinians have a state that allows them
to prosper as long as we also have certainty that Israel's security is
not being compromised," Obama told NBC's Meet the Press earlier this week
You mean like Gaza?
He
added that if the U.S. can "solve" the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,
"then that will make it easier for Arab states and the Gulf States to
support us when it comes to issues like Iraq and Afghanistan."
You mean Iraq and Afghanistan were about Israel? Of course where the former is concerned that's what your key foreign adviser Zbig hints around with his support....
Continued
Obama: "It also will weaken Iran, which has been using Hamas and
Hezbollah as a way to stir up mischief in the region. If we've gotten
an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal, maybe at the same time peeling Syria
out of the Iranian orbit, that makes it easier to isolate Iran so that
they have a tougher time developing a nuclear weapon."
Is it me or is he listing every problem and linking it back to Israel?
Only a completely delusional naif like J Carter could think anything other than that a Palestinian state today, given the leaders and the opinions of the Palestinians themselves would lead directly to open war.
Fatah is NOT going to beat HAMAS. At best we would have open anarchy as we do now in what would be a wild west fiefdom of quranic and tribal gangs vying with each other to see who can build the most and longest ranged Qassams to fire at Israel proper, while the west was vying for the championship position at holding Israel back from defense of its own citizens.
No state is possible, and no peace is possible under the present set of circumstances. Only when the Palestinian people themselves reject and dismember HAMAS and Fatah, and desire enhance the lives of their children IN THIS WORLD will there be anything to discuss.
Failure to recginize ANY of these realities by Mr. Obama should cause the most profound shuddering among those who think Mr. Bush a simpering moron.
Yet in February of this year, when Congressman Fazio and senior members
of the Democratic House leadership, including Majority Whip David
Bonior (D-MI-10), had the opportunity to vote for a resolution
condemning the antisemitic, anti-Catholic, hate-mongering rantings of
Nation of Islam leader Khalid Abdul Muhammad, they merely voted
"present". Congressman Fazio and Congressman Bonior chose not to stand
with 361 other House members to condemn a clear example of hatred and
bigotry.
In 2002, David Bonior was one of only 21 Congressmen who
opposed H.R. 392, which publicly affirmed Congress's support of Israel's right
to self-defense and called for the dismantling of the Palestinian terrorist
infrastructure.
In 2006,
Bonior was appointed to manage the Jonathan Edward presidential campaign,
sparking expressions of concern by American Jewish leaders. The executive vice
chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish
Organizations, Malcolm Hoenlein, called it "disappointing" that Edwards "chose
somebody whose position is at such variance from his, specifically on Israel."
In August 2006, Hagel was one
of only 12 senators who refused to write the EU asking them to declare
Hezbollah a terrorist organization.
In December 2005, Hagel was one
of only 27 who refused to sign a letter to President Bush to pressure the
Palestinian Authority to ban terrorist groups from participating in
Palestinian legislative elections.
In June 2004, Hagel refused to
sign a letter urging President Bush to highlight Iran's nuclear program at
the G-8 summit.
In November 2001, Hagel was one
of only 11 senators who refused to sign a letter urging President Bush not
to meet with the late Yassir Arafat until his forces ended the violence
against Israel.
Barack Obama HAS A PROBLEM. It would be a problem which would have eliminated any candidate or nominee from all consideration if the victim of this mindset were AMERICANS who happened to be black.
Barack Obama has surrounded himself VOLUNTARILY over
and over with people who have a problem with Israel, and a problem with
americans who happen to be jewish (such as Zbig, and McPeak ..HIS MAIN FOREIGN
AND MILITARY ADVISERS), unless of course they happen to believe Israel has no
right to be a secure ultimate refuge for those stateless
and unquestionably persecuted for 20 centuries.
Well, there seem to be a few recognizing the big lies and, in this world enough to act on that recognition.
GOOD SHOW
CARRY ON !
The
UCU is approaching a crisis. The management at Nottingham Trent
University has formally de-recognized the UCU branch as the legitimate
representative of the staff there. You can sign the petition against this
move on
the UCU website.
The
former independent adjudicator for higher education Ruth
Deech said in a House of Lords debate that because of UCU's support for the
campaign to boycott Israeli academics, it should now be considered "an
unprofessional union". "Universities would do well to cease to
recognise it and to deal with alternatives," she said. She told the Times
Higher:
"These
efforts to boycott, or to come as close as possible to a boycott, are contrary
to race relations legislation and ultra vires the powers of the
union.... The UCU has created an atmosphere hostile to Jewish academics and to
quality academic research and freedom in this country."
The
union is in a poor state to launch an effective defence against the threat of
de-recognition. It is widely thought of as being obsessed by the campaign
to exclude Israeli academics from UK campuses. It has arrogantly ignored
many of its Jewish members who are worried by the spectre of institutional
antisemitism. It has complacently brushed aside the advice which tells it
that the boycott campaign puts it in legal jeopardy. In other words our
union is, at the moment, a union which it is very easy not to take seriously.
For those who may not have heard of Shaykh Ahmad Sirhindi, he lived
in India in about the 16th Century, and he reinvigorated and repurified
Islam in India, after the highly destructive anti-Islamic policies of the
Moghul ruler Akbar. Most of the Naqshbandi lineages today stem from Shaykh
Ahmad Sirhindi -- this is an indication of his great influence. I think
there is a strong parallel between Shaykh Ahmad Sirhindi's time and the
world today, and so I think we can learn very much from this great Shaykh's
life and writings.
The Naqshbandi Sufi are today represented as the model of moderation. Of some kind.
The
Philosemitic Indian Sufi Ahmad Sirhindi (d. 1624), who despite never
apparently encountering a Jew during his lifetime, opined, "Whenever a
Jew is killed it is for the benefit of Islam."
Do the Naqshbandi 'moderates' today renounce and excoriate this statement, and this philosophy?
In The Bell Curve Hernstein and Murray made some claims about race and intelligence, based on facts which are emblematic of anathema. In fact, their book was about intelligence being the ultimate marker of status in American society. In passing, some statistics they rest their conclusions on were not flattering to 'certain' groups. Some have used this to claim that black Americans are inferior IN FACT to other American groupings when in comes to intellectual abilities.
I find this disgusting, and actually a cute manipulation, and as we all know, we can force a stat to say just about anything and claim it as a fact.
So what, one wonders would be the American reaction if among his foreign policies advisers, John McCain had voluntarily appointed were several to all, who believed in varying degrees, in such 'facts'?
What would be said about HIS inner belief set?
It would be, of course impossible to vote for him, and I imagine there would not be a single black American voting for him.
Yet we have seen Barack Obama exhibit EXACTLY this behavior, and yet american jews SUPPORT this man. Principles advisers are unashamed to claim they believe the conclusion American Jews act together in an inchoate fashion to the detriment of America and the benefit of Israel. As a group. Are to blame for the lack of peace in the middle east.
Why is this acceptable?
Why is it acceptable for other Americans to accept racists like McPeak and, Brezhinski (and uniformly lesser tasked others) and not question Mr. Obama's inner belief set when it comes to jews? And Israel?
Based not on his absurd current verbiage hewing desperately towards the center, but on the few actions we have seen him voluntarily make?
These men and women by and large still serve inthe positions Mr. Obama appointed them to.
What is it in Mr. Obama's belief set that allows this?
We have all read of the CBS report that Israel has told Bush that if Iran is not stopped diplomatically before an Obama might take office, they will.
Bill O'Reilly has taken the day after this attack and postulated the political, economic, and military isolation of Israel, and the economic collapse of the world's totally interlocked economy as oil prices double or worse in 24 hours or less after such an attack. (Wish we were drilling everywhere yet?)
1) Can the world economy take an Iran attacked and oil prices doubling? Will oil double? 2) Would Obama revert to Middle East policies before 1967, i.e;, an arms embargo in the ME?
Update -preamble.....as a lifelong democrat, and of the FDR-HST ilk, I started this election marathon wide open....I had NO IDEA who I would support. At this point I would have to say that based on, not his words, but Obama's deeds especially in terms of appointments, I have to tell you I have not had a reaction like this to a politician since RICHARD NIXON. There were democrats I could have voted for. Barack Obama is not one, and that is based on the THINGS HE HAS NOW DONE.
The American Thinker story this AM, and Israel Matzav's hideous find caused me to execute just the SIMPLEST search. No comment is needed, just ....go here and read what's under the rock
JERUSALEM -- Authors of
Palestinian school textbooks took small steps toward softening their
portrayal of Israel under the rule of moderate Palestinian President
Mahmoud Abbas -- but progress was quickly reversed after the militant
Islamic Hamas took over, according to a report released on Tuesday.
The
report by the Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in
School Education and by the American Jewish Committee looked at 120
textbooks published from 2000 to 2006.
The
report reflects charges by Israelis that Palestinian textbooks are not
in keeping with a peace process that started in 1993. Palestinians
counter that Jewish Israeli students are not taught about Palestinian
suffering.
Arnon Groiss, author of the report,
said most of the textbooks from grade one to 10, issued under the late
Yasser Arafat's rule, don't acknowledge any historical Jewish presence
in ancient Palestine.
But in 11th grade books
issued under the moderate Abbas, there are two maps showing Israel
within the "Green Line" -- the cease-fire line before the 1967 war, when
Israel captured east Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. The
textbooks issued under Abbas' rule also include a discussion of Jewish
history in the region, the report said.
Unmentioned by AP....The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is in the texts to denigrate the zionist ideal, and authors chose to totally ignore the Holocaust, in line with the moderate Abbas's doctoral thesis. Cities within Israel are referred to as "settlements", like Tel Aviv.
However,
in 2006, the militant Islamic Hamas won an election and issued a 12th
grade textbook that dramatically reversed those steps, the report said.
Mixed
with anti-Semitic sentiments in the textbooks are genuine Palestinian
complaints against Israel, including settlement building in areas
Palestinians want for their future state, and the Israeli separation
barrier, which swallows swathes of West Bank land.
AP BIAS AND POTENTIAL BIGOTRY ALERT
Then I guess all those threats to annihilate the jews since 1929 didn't work out too well, nor did the wars and mass murders instigated in 29,36,47,48, all thru the 50, and 60's, 67, 73 and the intifadas. Oh, and by the way AP, since you mention the nation of Georgia as being "tiny", and Israel is 1/3 the area of Georgia, I guess that makes them miniscule as well. I don't see that mentioned. hmmmmm. I'm so shocked
And separation barrier? How about defensive mass murder prevention wall, instead?
Jamal
Zakkout, spokesman for Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, said
Palestinian textbooks should emphasize connection to the land and "a
call for tolerance."
However, Zakkout said the
main cause of Palestinian ill will toward Israel is not textbooks, but
Israel's many checkpoints in the West Bank, the separation barrier and
military operations in Palestinian towns.
Hamas officials were not available for comment Tuesday.
Yes, the product of negotiations ongoing since 1936.
A foreign policy expert consulted by
presidential hopeful Barack Obama has accused members of the American
Jewish establishment of "McCarthyism" in its attitude towards critics
of Israel.
Former national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski says that the
pro-Israel lobby in the US is too powerful, while the slur of anti-Semitism
is too readily used whenever its power is called into question.
Calling all jews controlling the banks, empty his accounts via 'clerical error'. Calling the Yahud in charge of media, cut him off.
Presenting a solution for the Middle East, he listed historical compromises
that had to be made by Israelis and Palestinians but accused the American
Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) -- the largest and most influential
lobby group -- of obstructing peace efforts.
Indeed, the American jews are stopping HAMAS from turning Gaza into a paradise of peace and love. Aquarius awaits.
Intimidated
He said: "AIPAC has consistently opposed a two-state solution and a lot
of members of Congress have been intimidated and I don't think that's
healthy."
Walt and Mearsheimer redux...their specific claim: The bottom line is that AIPAC, which is a de facto agent for a foreign
government, has a stranglehold on the U.S. Congress. (page 19 of their original paper)
He added that other country-specific lobbies, such as the Cuban-Americans,
the
Armenians and the Irish, had also exerted undue influence in Washington.
Mr Brzezinski, who served under former US president Jimmy Carter, was a key
player in the 1978 Camp David Accords and remains an important voice in the
US foreign policy establishment. An active author and analyst at 80, he is
close enough to Mr Obama that his remarks may feed fears in the
American-Jewish community that he will soften America's traditional
pro-Israeli stance.
This perception has been created in part by his professed willingness to
talk to Iran and partly by other foreign policy associates.
He has been accused before of being "anti-Israel" by some Jewish
academics, writers and bloggers after criticising Israel for excessive use
of force and unwillingness to compromise.
The holocaust minimizer Abbas just can't wait to compromise..
Last year, censure of him reached new heights when he defended academics
John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt. They had criticised the pro-Israel lobby
and were accused of questioning the state of Israel's existence.
"It's not unique to the Jewish community -- but there is a McCarthy-ite
tendency among some people in the Jewish community," he said, referring
to the Republican senator who led the anti-Communist witch hunt in the 1950s.
"They operate not by arguing but by slandering, vilifying, demonising.
Yeah, sort of like our reaction to Ross Barnett, and George Wallace, you idiot. We have identified BIGOTRY, and it PISSES US OFF, just as it should for ANY BIGOTRY since in the end they are all the same.
They very promptly wheel out anti-Semitism.
There is an element of paranoia
in this inclination to view any serious attempt at a compromised peace as
somehow directed against Israel."
Compelling peace with those whose dedicated 100 year old effort to kill or drive off all non dhimmi jews, who proudly SAY they cannot stop because the quran compels this action is a an activity DIRECTED AGAINST THE ONLY REFUGE FOR THE FEW JEWS ON THE PLANET.
Although Mr Brzezinski is not a formal day-to-day adviser to Obama campaign,
he said that he talks to Mr Obama.
Obama claims he had lunch with the guy ONCE.
He wholeheartedly endorses the Illinois senator, lauding him as "head
and shoulders" above his opponents. And he says he is the only
candidate who understands "what is new and distinctive about our age".
In turn, Mr Obama has praised Mr Brzezinski as "someone I have learned
an immense amount from", and "one of our most outstanding scholars
and thinkers". They share very similar views on the folly of the Iraq
war.
Middle East expert Robert Malley recently quit as an Obama adviser after it
emerged he was talking to the militant Palestinian group Hamas as part of
his work for the International Crisis Group.
Republican Senator John McCain -- Mr Obama's opponent for the White House
once he wraps up the Democratic nomination -- is set to focus on the
46-year-old senator's lack of foreign policy experience and supposed
weakness towards enemies.
Today, the Universities and Colleges Union is discussing whether
universities should single out Israeli and Jewish scholars for active
discrimination.
Yes, you read that correctly. The UCU is debating a motion which not
only raises the spectre yet again of an academic boycott of Israel but
demands of Jewish and Israeli academics that they explain their
politics as a pre-condition to normal academic contact. The motion asks
colleagues
to consider the moral and political implications of educational
links with Israeli
institutions, and to discuss the occupation with
individuals and institutions concerned, including Israeli colleagues
with whom they are collaborating... the testimonies will be used to
promote a wide discussion by colleagues of the appropriateness of
continued educational links with Israeli academic institutions... Ariel
College, an explicitly colonising institution in the West Bank, be
investigated under the formal Greylisting Procedure.
The implication is that, if they don't condemn Israel for the
'occupation', or practising 'apartheid', 'genocide' or any of the other
manufactured crimes laid at Israel's door by the
Palestinian/Islamist/neonazi/leftwing axis, they won't be able to work.
Their continued employment will depend on their holding views which are
permitted. The views they are being bludgeoned into expressing as a
condition of their employment are based on lies, distortion,
propaganda, gross historical ignorance, blood libels and prejudice. And
this in the universities, supposedly the custodians of free thought and
inquiry in the service of dispassionate scholarship.
Great Britain IS both a dhimmi to the BNP and the genocidal racists of Islam, whose promulgation of the BIG LIE has made tools of the descendants of Churchill.
SHAME TO GREAT BRITAIN
Britain is one step away. One step.
You Jews must think your host peoples are stupid! You have always done
your duty as a citizen, you claim, punctually paying your not insubstantial
taxes, probably because it could not be avoided even after you had taken
advantages of all the deductions and loopholes. You have done much good,
and carefully recorded every bit of it in order to demand repayment. You
have made contributions to maintain historic castles and palaces, and
can prove it by letters of thanks from the appropriate officials. And
you also have medals from various minor nobles to prove your decency.
Sometimes we are presented with a continuously shifted sense of reality. We feel the Rod Serling moments of 'something is wrong'.
We know it, but cannot see the evidence .. and we dare not voice it because it is too unbelievable.
And so to the case of Mohammad Al Durah, and the coverage of his 'murder', and the coverage of the coverage, then the Dreyfus circus of France 2, and the incredible Mr. Karsenty.
Today a French court ruled that I did not defame France 2 when I
said that its news report was a staged hoax. Because I refused to be
brainwashed, I was sued for defamation.
Our victory today was a victory for freedom -- the freedom to think
and to speak one's mind; the freedom to question what one is told; and
the freedom to disbelieve the solemn pronouncements of others when the
individual concludes that his reasoning is correct and that the state
and the state-run media -- and all of the institutions they represent --
are wrong.
The al-Dura lie is an assault on our ability to think, to criticize,
to evaluate, and finally to reject information -- especially the right
to reject information on which we base our most cherished assumptions.
One of Europe's most cherished assumptions is that Israel is a vicious
Nazi-like entity that deliberately murders Palestinian Arab children.
Moreover, polls conducted in Europe have identified Israel as the
greatest threat to world peace, greater than Iran and North Korea,
Pakistan and Syria. The al-Dura hoax is one of the pillars on which
these assumptions rely.
I congratulate this man on a great victory, but the big story is no story.
Search on Karsenty... Fox News NOTHING. Not even on the web site. Talal's money? MSNBC - the last story is 9/2007 CNN's search points outward only to CAMERA and those like us.
Yet when this monumental hoax was perpetrated, this world ran to believe the jews were murderers. The media ran to publish that the state of Israel practiced child murder via its army. France 2, in ppossession of some shred of truth, suppressed it in a formless agreemtn in purpose with the actual mass murderers of the levant.
Those are the stories of the Al Durah hoax. The press REJOICED to show the jewish killers, no better than those who murdered them. The world felt lighter to
the masses to find this falsity true in deadly silent relief?
And HAMAS, FATAH, and the salafist and khomeinist murderers on this planet knew success in their racist formative document.
There is no publicity over this shame. Not in the industry whose existence is to bring us the 'reality' of this world, and not anywhere in this world.
What we knew was wrong was the way the world treated this. The way the press ran to cover it.
Do we as humans feel triumph in such denigration even when we know it demeans everyone of us? Does the world despise the jews so much as to take silent pleasure in the lie, and thus ensure silence for the truth?
It doesn't matter if was 2 million or 6 million or 9 million, it was the result of 3000 years of racist hatred among humans against the jews for explicable and inexplicable reason of human weakness and compulsions. It is a stain on virtually all nations from the Phillistines and Amalekites thru the Greeks, across the spread of time to Arab and Asian and European nations, and here in the USA, married to the industrial might and ill ambition of a nation of technocratic and willing people who believed the worst of their neighbors and friends.
And now thru the Arab and Islamic lies of multinational PROJECTION of the jews as the nazis we can all be sure what has been for 3,000 years lives in health.
But thanks to them, we now all know that the god of the Quran is a racist god, and makes the Quran a racist document, separating it from all others as the living unchangeable word of a bigoted, hateful being, who separates the jews from all other people.
Former President Carter
said Monday that Hamas--the Islamic militant group that has called for
the destruction of Israel--is prepared to accept the right of the Jewish
state to "live as a neighbor next door in peace."
But Carter warned that there would not be peace if Israel and the U.S. continue to shut out Hamas and its main backer, Syria.
HAMAS: In Damascus, Mashaal said Hamas was offering Israel a 10-year truce if it withdraws from all lands it seized in the 1967 war. (and accept the right of return?)
Okay, so he is a self righteous prick, who won't listen when reality obviates his dearest wishes. This endearing quality is probably worth 60-70 IQ points.
Okay so he really DOES (just read the expose on his book) have a thing with the jews. Amazing in a modern american prez, but I have been sadly convinced by others in the last few months based in HIS writings, and his acceptance of moneys, versus the facts that in fact he is not just functionally antisemitic in terms of his actions, by their results, but also he is truly antisemitic based, probably in his personal faith, inside his own head. This is probably worth about 50 IQ points, in general, and worth 70 in any situation where jews are involved.
Maybe he is a genius and he has a 180 IQ. Do the math.
J Carter is a highy challenged MORON, below functional level, below the level of living in a halfway house, below the level of self care, in any situation involving his emotionally held wishful thinking where jews are involved.
And THAT is going to turn out to be the enduring legacy of J Carter. Not his horrible presidency, but his BIGOTRY.
HAMAS:"Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it."
"The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. "
"There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors."
"After Palestine, the Zionists aspire to expand from the Nile to the Euphrates. When they will have digested the region they overtook, they will aspire to further expansion, and so on. Their plan is embodied in the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", and their present conduct is the best proof of what we are saying."
Jimmy Carter Embraces Hamas Official RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) - Former President Jimmy Carter
embraced a leading Hamas figure Tuesday, according to participants in a
meeting that infuriated Israeli officials already upset by Carter's
freelance Mideast peace mission.
Carter also laid a wreath at the grave of Yasser Arafat, whom the Bush administration and many Israelis blame for the breakdown of peace talks seven years ago and the violence that followed.
At a reception in the West Bank town of Ramallah organized by Carter's
office, the former president hugged Nasser Shaer, a senior Hamas
politician, meeting participants said. Embraces between men are a
common custom in Arab culture.
"He gave me a hug. We hugged
each other, and it was a warm reception," Shaer told The Associated
Press. "Carter asked what he can do to achieve peace between the
Palestinians and Israel ... and I told him the possibility for peace is
high."
Carter's office refused to comment, saying he does not discuss closed meetings.
Shaer, who served as deputy prime minister and education minister in
the Hamas-led Palestinian government that unraveled last year, is
considered a leading member of the Islamic militant group's pragmatic
wing. After a stint in an Israeli prison last year, he is now a
professor at a West Bank university, teaching comparative religion.
Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said Carter's meeting
with Hamas "dignified" a group committed to Israel's destruction. "One
cannot but wonder how this attitude is supposed to promote peace and
understanding," he said.
There is simply no way that J Carter can be stupid enough to think the success of HAMAS cannot mean the end of Israel. Either Israel must die, or HAMAS must die.
JPOST:Al-Qaida No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahri pledged Wednesday night that the group would attack Jews in Israel and throughout the world.
In an hour-and-a-half-long audio response to
questions submitted to the movement on extremist Web sites, Zawahri
said: "We promise our Muslim brothers that we will do the best we can
to harm Jews in Israel and the world over, with Allah's help and
according to his command."
Zawahiri reassured many of the questioners, who seemed worried
about the direction of the organization, that the global jihad was on
track and would soon expand elsewhere.
"I expect the Jihadi influence to spread after the Americans'
exit from Iraq, (hey Barry, are you listening?) and to move towards Jerusalem," he said to those asking
when attacks on Israel would take place.
Note that this neat answers means any american attempt to remain in Iraq means they are doing it for the jews. Thus america is a crusader tool for zionists. Calling Pat Buchanan, Jim Moran, Ron Paul, and Ms Mckinney...oh and YOU TOO Mike Scheurer.
Zawahri also slammed the UN for "assisting the establishment of Israel," calling the organization an "enemy of Islam."
The audio message, which was accompanied by a 46-page English
transcript, was the first installment of answers to a raft of online
questions and focused mainly on future al-Qaida efforts elsewhere in
the region, particularly Egypt.
Zawahri responded to
criticism about Al-Qaida's notoriously brutal tactics, maintaining that
it does not kill innocents. "We haven't killed the innocents, not in
Baghdad nor in Morocco, nor in Algeria, nor anywhere else," he said
according to the English transcript which, like the audio message,
appeared on Web sites linked to the group.
Oh I get it, .if YOU kill them that means they aren't innocent. IPSO FACTO. Silly me.
I hope he is killed ONLY after internet photos of him with a jewish transvestite transsexual lesbian surface, in which he is the recipient of a strap on, and a look of pure bliss transfixes his face.
If the racism of so many muslims is based in the Quran, as Ayman and
the salafis act, oh and Jannati, Mesbah Yazdi and the mullahs, what can
we conclude about what is purported to the immutable and revealed word
of a perfect god?
God is a racist?
Different god?
Auditory nerve tumor in a cave near mecca in the 6th century?
I'm trying to imagine what would be going on in churches in the USA if
priests and preachers all taught that arabs and persians are the damned
of god in perpetuity.
BEIT SIRA, West Bank -- Ali Abu Safia, mayor of this Palestinian
village, steers his car up one potholed road, then another, finding
each exit blocked by huge concrete chunks placed there by the Israeli
Army. On a sleek highway 100 yards away, Israeli cars whiz by.
"They took our land to build this road, and now we can't even use
it," Mr. Abu Safia says bitterly, pointing to the highway with one hand
as he drives with the other. "Israel says it is because of security. But it's politics."
The object of Mr. Abu Safia's contempt -- Highway 443, a major access
road to Jerusalem -- has taken on special significance in the grinding
Israeli-Palestinian conflict. For the first time, the Supreme Court,
albeit in an interim decision, has accepted the idea of separate roads
for Palestinians in the occupied areas.
snip
This month, as some 40,000 Israeli cars -- and almost no Palestinians
-- use it daily, the court handed down its decision, one that has
engendered much legal and political hand-wringing.
The one-paragraph decision calls on the army to give a progress
report in six months on its efforts to build separate roads and take
other steps for the Palestinians to compensate them for being barred
from Highway 443. It is the acceptance of the idea of separate road
systems that has engendered commentary, although legal experts say
there is a slight chance that the court could reconsider its approach
when it next examines the issue.
snip
"There is already a separate legal system in the territories for
Israelis and Palestinians," (of course there is, moron, it's not going to be ONE STATE) said Limor Yehuda, who argued the recent
case for the civil rights association on behalf of six Palestinian
villages. "With the approval of separate roads, if it becomes a
widespread policy, then the word for it will be 'apartheid.' "
Many Israelis and their supporters reject the term, with its implication of racist animus.
"The basis of separation is not ethnic since Israeli Arabs and
Jerusalem residents with Israeli ID cards can use the road," argues
Dore Gold, president of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, a
conservative research organization. "The basis of the separation is to
keep out of secure areas people living in chaotic areas. If the Palestinian Authority, which has thousands of men under arms, had fought terror, this wouldn't have been necessary."
snip
David Kretzmer, an emeritus professor of international law at the
Hebrew University in Jerusalem, wrote in an op-ed article in the
Israeli newspaper Haaretz of what he called the "judicial hypocrisy" of
Israel's reign over the territories manifest in this case.
He said that while the changed security circumstances of recent
years may have forced a change in the road's mixed use, "the
unavoidable conclusion is that, as unfortunate as this may be, Israelis
should not be allowed to travel on the road that was built, let's not
forget, for the benefit of the local population.
Fine, then build a separate secure road for the Israelis. Where they can go about their biz without being killed...but that wouldn't be okay either Mr, Kretzmer, I bet, would it?
"But the military government has, of course, decided otherwise:
Israelis will be allowed to travel on the road, while Palestinians --
for whom, the court's ruling says, the road was paved -- cannot use it,
and access to the road from local Palestinian villages will be blocked."
For many Israelis, however, the dozens of attacks that have taken
place on the road in recent years are reason enough to ban Palestinian
traffic there and to limit Palestinians to other routes. In 2001, for
example, five Israelis were killed by gunfire on Highway 443 and since
then a number of others have been injured from stone-throwing.
If Israel has a right to exist, it has a right to security for its citizens, from those who as both polls and elections show desire their death or expulsions. On the day the palestinian peoples give up, or are lead from this idea of killing or expelling the jewish enemy, the corruptors of the world it can begin to change. Until then, what is there even to discuss? The 20 more rockets launched from Gaza in the last 2 days? Or the Hadiths calling for the arabs to kill the jews at the behest of bushes and trees?
According to theJTA, Jean Ziegler, a man who praised a Holocaust denier as one of the "leading thinkers of our times" has been appointed by the Swiss government as an "expert" to, get this, the U.N. Human Rights Council.
Not only has Ziegler praised the denier, Roger Gaurady [aka Garaudy] but he has asserted, according to the JTA that "his critics are puppets of his Western opponents".
U.N. Watch has protested to the Swiss government which made the appointment. The Swiss have brushed off these and other critics.
Maybe they are too interested in Iranian oil these days.
This is really an outrage... Though UN critics are probably shrugging their shoulders and saying: "So what else is new?"
Actually, there is something else. Also appointed to the position of an expert was Richard Falk, emeritus professor at Princeton, who, according to the JTA, has compared Israel's treatment of the Palestinians to Nazis.
Tomorrow celebrates the first recorded attempted genocide.
Of course it was to be practiced upon the most popular of all genocidal victims.
A dream of that ancient father of HAMAS, a removed son of the kings of Amalek (the first foe to attack the people of Israel after they had come out of Egypt as a free nation who were defeated finally in the time of David, and a nation in the south and to the south of Gaza), Haman planned to use the forces of Xerxes, just prior to his great invasion which resulted in Thermopylae, Salamis, and Plataea, to kill all the jews in exile in Persia. He failed and we have the holiday of Purim as a result. A holiday, of course, the jews even today, have been accused of using children's blood, to sweeten the cakes (Hamantaschen) with. But as a result of the perceived trampling of the 'waqf' of Amalek, this first 'humiliation', and 'nakba', generated as it seems to have always done since, the typical reaction across 2500 years.
If you are jewish, the truth I have learned since 2001 is this: It will never be over.
MIL-MIDEAST-FATAH-TRUCE Fatah: we are not obliged to honor any truce
GAZA, March 13 (KUNA) -- Fatah's Aqsa Martyrs Brigades said, Thursday, that
they will not be party to any truce with Israel.
This applies to the West Bank and Gaza Strip, where the Palestinian people
are suffering from siege and a series of assassinations of brigade leaders, in
addition to incursions into Palestinian refugee camps, the statement added.
"We are not obliged to honor any truce or ceasefire in the West Bank or
Gaza Strip," said the brigade.
The Palestinian faction called on the Arab and Islamic world to uphold
their historical responsibilities towards the Palestinian people, and to the
Aqsa Mosque which is suffering the most dangerous phases of judaization(what the hell does that mean?), the
statement added.
The brigade also stated that this step came avenge the recent assassination
of four Aqsa and Quds brigade leaders in Bethlehem on Wednesday.
How stupid can all these peace groups be? There is NO POSSIBILITY of peace in the middle east today. That's it.
Thanks to the great Point of No Return for pointing out this story on Liza, Chingachgook of Lebanon. If Israel ever treated its indigenous arabs so badly, and they felt SO PERSONALLY UNSAFE among the jewish people there, that they all just left, imagine the size of that story. Imagine the immensity of its coverage. Imagine the negative impact of such a story. Yet the disappearance of the jewish people, inhabitants, though persecuted horribly arbitrarily from one ruler to another, from time immemorial in many mid eastern lands represents a black hole of news, coverage, stories and image for the arabs. Is it that we expect little more from what was once so successful a society and culture than racist persecution, physical intimidation, and violence that it has all become dog bites man? Not news?
It will always be news. The world is just tired of the oldest story around. Persecuted jewish people.
Here now Liza, 'last' of the Lebanese jews.
NOW
Lebanon sits down with Liza, one of the last Lebanese Jews to remain in
Beirut. An internal refugee from the civil war, Liza now lives with
several generations of pet cats in an abandoned building set for
demolition in the old Jewish quarter of Wadi Abu Jamil. Her unique
story traces the recent history of Jews in Lebanon, from a childhood of
tolerance and acceptance to the dark days of suspicion, emigration and
violence after 1967 and the civil war.
Liza reflects on her life and community, and the challenges of being Lebanese in a country that no longer accepts her.
Liza: Before anything else, I want you to know that I am
Lebanese... and I am Jewish. Don't ask me questions about Israel because
I know nothing about that.
NOW
Lebanon: I want to ask you about your Lebanese identity and whether it
is perhaps even more complex for you, as a Jew in this country. What
makes you, personally, feel Lebanese?
Liza: When I was a child, my family used to take trips to
Bhamdoun and we would spend our summers there. I used to play with
other families - Christians, Muslims, Druze, anyone you could imagine -
and we would sing songs and find fun ways to spend our long days. The
ability for me, a Jewish woman, to play with Christian and Muslim girls
and boys, and never think anything of it, makes me as Lebanese as
anyone else. Even at the Talmud Torah School [a Jewish school that once
stood near to the synagogue], I would leave class and never think of
myself as Jewish and different. I felt like any other child in Beirut,
and it was great then.
NOW Lebanon: I'd like you to describe the changes you felt following the 1967 war.
Liza: I was 18 at the time, and had finished my 'Brevet' at
the Alliance [French-Jewish school] when the war happened. My dad made
sure my family stayed home during the tense days that followed. I
remember our neighbors, Kurds from Syria, taking care of us at the
time. We were too afraid to buy food from the supermarket, so they
helped us until things calmed down. But to be honest, things never
really calmed down after the war.
NOW Lebanon: What do you mean?
Liza: We didn't feel safe, even at home. My father, God
rest his soul, used to own a stationary shop down in the 'Wadi' [Wadi
Abu Jamil]. He hired someone, a friend, to help him manage the shop
because he didn't want to work as much. That friend, a Jew, eventually
left the country. We were one of the few families still here when the
war broke out in 1975. We stayed one year in our old home, until things
got so bad that we moved here, to this place.
NOW Lebanon: And you've been here, since?
Liza: My parents died during the war but from natural
causes. I have two sisters who moved to Canada, to Quebec, and my
younger brother stayed with me here. He passed away in 1996, and I've
been here alone...but I have my other family...My cats are my friends, now.
The Jewish friends I had from childhood, I don't speak to them as much.
They are gone, and sometimes they send me money, but it's been such a
long time. I have a few friends in the East [eastern Beirut], and now
and then I visit them. But I am mostly alone, and I prefer it that way.
NOW Lebanon: Why is that?
Liza:You know, a lot of people know I am Jewish, and that
is always dangerous for me. You never know who will want to hurt me
because of my religion. They could be anyone - Sunni, Shia, Christian,
I don't care - the point is, the friends I have are the ones that
accept me as Jewish, and the rest turned their backs and prefer to
avoid contact with any Jew, including me.
NOW Lebanon: Are you in touch with the other remaining Jews in Lebanon? Most people say the number is less than 60.
Liza: We are here, we are the only ones who refused to
leave, and we stayed for different reasons. Some were too old to leave
when given the chance; others simply couldn't afford to go. I was
offered Israeli citizenship in 1982 when [Ariel] Sharon came to Beirut
that summer. I wasn't the only one then to simply turn it down. I am
not, and will never be, Israeli. That is my story. As for the others, I
know of them, but I don't speak to them. They weren't my friends
before, and they will likely remain strangers to me.
NOW
Lebanon: In your opinion, what will it take for you to feel safe as a
Jew in Lebanon? What do you think is necessary for the Lebanese Jews
living abroad to return to this country and invest their future here?
Liza: The Jews that left will never come back. They are
gone, forever; trust me on that. You are asking for the impossible, for
me, a Jew, to really feel part of this country. Don't get me wrong, I
am Lebanese, 100% Lebanese. But I am rejected, because people think I
am Israeli, or a Zionist or a Mossad agent. For me to have a normal
life here, you will need real peace between the Arabs and Israelis; for
the Palestinians to get a fair deal; for the Syrians and Americans; the
Iranians and the Israelis to get along. Until then, I will not be
welcomed in this country, and actually, no one will feel stable here.
Look here [pointing to the religion section on her Lebanese birth certificate].
Even the government is too afraid to list me as a Jew. I am 'Moussawi,'
because I follow Moses. But the followers of Moses are Jews, so why
can't I be a Jew? I can't because of the problem with Israel. Get that
solved and I'll be fine.
Wolniewicz exhorted Poles
to defend themselves, saying "The Jews are attacking us! We need to
defend ourselves." The professor was joined by 91-year-old Bishop Albin
Malysiak in his call for Poles to protect their "nearest and dearest".An anti-Semitic professor ranted against "the kikes"
Sunday in a rousing speech to an overflow standing room-only crowd of
approximately 1,000 people at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
in Warsaw. The event, which was heavily promoted in the Polish capital, ended with a question-and-answer period in which participants were strongly urged to "get organized."
No, not 1938, today.
A Jewish woman and her Orthodox son were the victims of an anti-Semitic
attack in Melbourne. Ester Weiss, 54, and her son, Sharon, were punched
in the head by two youths who hurled anti-Semitic abuse at them. The
attack took place in a Jewishly populated area. Weiss said the
assailants also threw her son's yarmulke away. Police are seeking the
two youths
Last month.
Three attacks in the last two weeks, including a raid on a synagogue
and desecration of a memorial to Holocaust victims, were reported by
Russia's Jewish community on Thursday.
In Ulyanovsk, a group of about a dozen young men painted
swastikas Tuesday on the walls of a synagogue and cursed at members
inside, the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia said.
In Volgograd, anti-Semitic slogans were scrawled on a memorial to Holocaust victims Sunday, the group said.
Last week, several young men burst into a synagogue in Nizhny
Novgorod, throwing religious books out a window and beating up a
security guard, it said. All three cities are in western Russia.
The federation said it was concerned about the rise in attacks
targeting Jews, calling it part of "a recent surge in anti-Semitic
manifestations" in Russia.
All this year.
The Caulfield Hebrew Congregation, one of the city's largest
synagogues, was daubed with swastikas last weekend. Vandals also
painted swastikas on a kosher restaurant, and Melbourne's best-known
bagel bakery, Glick's, had its front window smashed, the Australian
Jewish News reported Thursday. The police are unwilling to link the
vandalism at this stage, however, and have not confirmed that the
attack on Glick's, which has suffered several similar attacks in the
past six months, was anti-Semitic. Neither the bakery nor the synagogue
has closed-circuit TV, although spokespeople for both said they would
consider upgrading their security.
This year
January: Brazilian singer, Nana Caymmi, made blatantly ant-Semitic
remarks during a recent interview. Caymmi is one of Brazil's most
popular singers, and daughter to Dorival Caymmi, one of the country's
foremost composers. In an interview with British publication Queen
Magazine, Caymmi was asked about her son's long battle with drug
addiction. The singer stated that "it is pure hell. You cannot imagine
the drama I live with. I constantly ask myself why I need suffer so. I
am not Jewish, I did not crucify Jesus."

Two people were wounded in a stone-throwing attack in London on
Holocaust Memorial Day, according to British media outlets. The two
were part of a tour group visiting former Jewish sites in London's East
End. One of the victims suffered a deep cut to her head and was taken
to a nearby hospital. Tourists said the perpetrators were four young
Muslim members of the area's immigrant community. Local police said
they were investigating the incident as a hate crime.

A group of youths in central Berlin shouted anti-Semitic slurs and set
a dog on five students who were leaving a Jewish school yesterday,
according to police. Two main suspects, age 27 and 31, were to appear
in court today after police arrested four ``punks'' following the
incident, police spokesman Klaus Schubert said. The students, age 15 to
17, were leaving their school on Grosse Hamburger Strasse in Berlin's
Mitte district at around 2:45 p.m. local time. As the students
approached a nearby corner, the suspects began shouting anti-Semitic
words and had a dog chase one of the Jewish students to a local bakery,
Schubert said. Witnesses called the police; the students were unhurt.

Anti-Semites desecrated 24 graves in southern Hungary, the fourth time
in the past year that the Kaposvar graveyard has been vandalized. Local
Jewish leader Laszlo Rona said that guard dogs may be used to protect
the cemetery. Swastikas and arrow-crosses were painted on the tombs,
and Stars of David were crossed out with graffiti proclaiming that "our
homeland is not to be sold." The same slogan was scrawled on a
gravestone in the same cemetery two weeks ago.
January
California: In January, several incidents of anti-Semitic graffiti and swastikas were discovered in the San Fernando Valley.
New Jersey:
After nearly 500 headstones at the Poile Zedek Cemetery were found
toppled and cracked in early January, police initially said
anti-Semitism was not being considered as a factor because they hadn't
yet identified a motive or a culprit. A few days later, police said
they "misspoke." This is the second time this year that the cemetery
was attacked. On New Year's Day, 17 stones were found upended at the
cemetery, which is used by Congregation Etz Ahaim in Highland Park and
Congregation Poile Zedek in New Brunswick.
New York:
A swastika and an anti-Semitic message were found scrawled on the side
door of a Jewish senior center in Midwood. The markings were found in
early January on the Brookdale Senior Citizen Center of Agudath Israel
at 817 Avenue H. This is the second anti-Semitic graffiti incident in
Brooklyn since the new year began. On Tuesday, Jan. 1, similar graffiti
was found on a home on 40th Street in Borough Park. Both neighborhoods
have some of the highest populations of Holocaust survivors in New York
City.
Now I wonder what religion he has been talking about? Could it be this one? Where the religion of the majority trumps secular 'law' as a joke from Morocco to China? Where the official law of millennial ages makes OFFICIAL second class citizens out of OTHER?
NO, of course not, the always ready Euro trash historical response always is evocative of one group. The group who rejected Christ, caused earthquakes, famines and plagues, was expelled from virtually every European nation (some several times) because they were just a bit too different for the tribal ignoramuses and their suspicions, and finally after being accused of spying in a national scandal so pathetic, one man actually dreamed that it could all end if only these easily spat upon tiny remnant of a people could have their own nation. Sorry Theodore, WRONG on that one. Men's ignorance might be masked by a more sophisticated response, but the object is the same. Same as the Council of Nicaea, or 1348, or now. GET THEM JEWZ, BOYZ!
What the Catholic 'Leader' is so upset about is not one of the SCORES of muslim states, it's the JOOOOOOOZE which for the millionth time attracts the negative attention of the catholic church. It's just all so boringly familiar. Stupid.
One would have thought that the catholic church of today in recognizing their role and responsibility for the suffering of millions of jews across 2+ millenia, by what they taught and incited would recognize the exceptional case of what is probably the smallest montheistic religion by population on the planet, partly of a result of European ignorance, and church lead persecution.
Benedict STEP on this moron.
In his address, which he read in Arabic and English, Sabbah
said Israel should abandon its Jewish character in favor of a
"political, normal state for Christians, Muslims and Jews."
Does anyone need a translation of the meaning of this? Your bigotry and desired outcome brings shame and calumny on the word religion, and the idea of god in any of them, you galactically transparent goon.
Many have charged that American Policy has been warped by jews in favor of Israel, but in reality the institutions of the 'permanent government' have worked against the jewish people since well before the inception of Israel. I have come to the judgment that the NIE of 2007 represents in fact, the victory this year of the Arabists who have worked in the CIA and State dept since WW2 (one locus of the charges that Israel is running American policy via the puppet masters - American jews), and represents part of an attempt to completely isolate Israel, and align the Sunni (oil laden) Arab states with the USA against Iran, OR a solution of Iraq by granting Iran a respite, both not just in jeopardy to the security of the Israel, an ally of the USA at the level of Great Britain, but an existential threat to half of the jewish people on the planet.
This 'permanent government' arrogates to itself day to day policy as their personal ideology fits, whether or not this admits to the will of the people who elect the only national officer we have every four years.
"We judge with high confidence that in fall 2003, Teheran halted its nuclear weapons program."
Sept. 15, 2004- The U.S. government and the International Atomic
Energy Agency (IAEA) have questions about a military site in Iran with
suspected ties to the country's nuclear program, ABC News has learned.
Iran's Parchin complex — covering approximately 15 square miles
and located about 19 miles southeast of Tehran — is known as a center
for the production of conventional ammunition and explosives. A State
Department official has confirmed the United States suspects nuclear
activity at some of its facilities. The suspicions focus on possible
testing of high explosives.
"Parchin is the center of Iran's munitions industry and home to Iran's
oldest ammunitions factory, founded before World War II," said John
Pike, directory of GlobalSecurity.org, an organization that seeks to
reduce reliance on nuclear weapons. Images of Parchin, obtained exclusively by ABC News, show a building
within the facility's high-explosive test area that could permit the
testing of especially large explosions, including those relevant to the
development of a nuclear weapon.
Davis added that environmental sampling done by IAEA inspectors could
detect the presence of byproducts used in the testing of high
explosives for a nuclear weapon.
"A surrogate material, such as depleted uranium, for example, could be
used in such testing and would be detectable via sampling," he said.
The IAEA, the United Nations' nuclear arm, has been meeting
this week at its headquarters in Vienna, Austria, to discuss Iran's
nuclear program. The United States has proposed a strongly worded
resolution that would call on Iran to provide full disclosure of its
nuclear activities to the IAEA, or face action by the U.N. Security
Council, which could impose sanctions.
At today's meeting of IAEA's governing board, both the United
States and the European Union sought a commitment from Iran to stop
enrichment. But Hossein Mousavian, Iran's chief envoy to the meeting,
suggested his country would not yield to threats of Security Council
action.
The Iranian government did not respond to ABC News' questions about Parchin.
IAEA and Parchin VIENNA (AFP) Sep 17, 2004 UN nuclear watchdog chief Mohamed ElBaradei said
Friday there was no sign of nuclear activity at the Parchin military
site in Iran which US officials say should be investigated.
"We do not have any indication that this site has any nuclear-related activities," ElBaradei said.
"We are aware of this new site," he added however at a press conference at an IAEA board of governors meeting.
Iran
denied Thursday that it had carried out any nuclear-related work at
Parchin, a huge military complex 30 kilometres (19 miles) southeast of
Tehran.
A senior US official has told AFP the United States was
concerned about high-explosives testing in Parchin that may "amount to
(nuclear) weapons intent".
Iranian official Hossein Mousavian
said in Vienna that the IAEA had not asked to visit Parchin as part of
its investigation of Iran's nuclear program.
He said that "if this is requested by the IAEA, we are fully ready to cooperate."
Mousavian
said the IAEA had asked Iran "four weeks ago about reports from open
sources of explosive testing but they did not mention Parchin."
Diplomats have told AFP, however, that the IAEA had asked to visit Parchin and that the Iranians have not agreed to the visit.
Iranian Official Hints No Inspections At Suspect Nuclear Site Anytime Soon
Digital Globe file photo of Iran's Parchin military site.
Vienna (AFP) Jun 15, 2005 A senior Iranian negotiator hinted Wednesday that UN
nuclear inspectors would not be visiting the Parchin military site in
Iran, where the United States says weapons work is going on, anytime
soon.
Cyrus Nasseri told AFP that any such inspections of the Parchin and
Lavizan military sites would be "transparency" visits, beyond the
inspections that are required by the UN watchdog International Atomic
Energy Agency (IAEA).
Iran is ready "with an open mind to come to an agreement on modalities"
for these visits but "first things come first" and "other issues have
to be made clear," Nasseri said, referring to safeguards matters such
as questions about centrifuges and uranium contamination on imported
equipment.
Visits to sites like Parchin are beyond nuclear Non-Proliferation
Treaty (NPT) safeguards requirements, which are limited to inspecting
sites where there is sure to be nuclear material.
U.N. Says Iran Blocked Investigation of Nuclear Program
IENNA,
March 1 - The United Nations nuclear watchdog listed today several
instances where Iran has blocked investigation of its nuclear
development program or failed to provide information sought by the
agency.
In yet another area, Iran has also refused to allow I.A.E.A.
inspectors to return to Parchin, a military base where the United
States believes nuclear research may be taking place. The Iranians
allowed a limited visit to Parchin by the I.A.E.A. early this year, and
inspectors took environmental samples that are still being analyzed,
but the inspectors were limited to one of four areas that the agency
had identified as of potential interest.
Officials said that Iran
did not have any legal obligation to submit to inspections at Parchin,
but the I.A.E.A., with American encouragement, urged the Iranians to
allow such visits as a confidence-building measure.
But in a
note to the I.A.E.A. dated Feb. 27, the agency statement disclosed,
Iran said, "The expectation of the Safeguards Department in visiting
specified zones and points in Parchin Complex are fulfilled and thus
there is no justification for any additional visit."
Tests from the one area visited showed nothing positive.
I can find no record that Parchin was ever revisited, nor that the sites the UN wanted to visit were EVER analyzed for results consistent with implosion lenses for plutonium weapons, or applicable techniques related to U235 technology
Why not? I could buy that like Qaddafi in 2003, some mullahs had second thoughts, and ONE PROGRAM was halted, but the idea that they were going to give up development of that which they have said many times could both safeguard the Islamic revolution, and achieve the dream of every leader since the inception of the revolution 1979 (obliterating a major ally and battalion of the USA --- Israel) is a delusional, but attractive fantasy for those RISK AVERSE men who cannot face the long war, and it's compulsory obligations.
France's Foreign Ministry expressed surprise on
Wednesday over an Algerian government minister's remarks about a
"Jewish lobby" being behind French President Nicolas Sarkozy's rise to
power.
The flap came as Sarkozy was preparing to visit Algeria next week.
Muhammad Cherif Abbas, Algeria's minister for veterans, was quoted Monday in the daily El Khabar as saying that Sarkozy had been brought to power by a "Jewish lobby that has a monopoly on French industry."
Abbas also mentioned Sarkozy's "roots," an apparent reference to the French president's maternal grandfather, who was Jewish.
French Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Pascale Andreani responded
Wednesday: "We are surprised about these remarks that appeared in the
press, which do not correspond to the climate of confidence and
cooperation in which we are preparing the president's state visit."
Galactically stupid morons hoping for actual progess in the middle east, please take note
She remained upbeat about the visit, however, saying it would show that relations "have progressed in many sectors."
The December 3-5 visit will be Sarkozy's second to Algeria, the former jewel in France's colonial crown, since his election in May.
On Wednesday, Abbas told the Algerian state news agency APS that
he "never had the intention... of attacking the image of a foreign head
of state." He did not deny making the comments.
In the original interview, Abbas also demanded that France repent for its past actions in Algeria.
Relations between the two countries have been strained in recent
years, particularly since France's parliament passed a law in 2005
noting the "positive" effects of colonialism. The language was later
removed, but a long-awaited friendship treaty between the two countries
remains stalled.
Eugene, Oregon....Home of the University of Orgeon...
Foes target Pacifica Forum
Foes of what, you wonder????
Critics of a speaker widely viewed as one of the nation’s most
prominent deniers of the Holocaust say they will counter his talk in
Eugene on Friday with a competing event and a later symposium.
Mark
Weber, director of the Institute for Historical Review (out of Willis Carto and the 'Liberty Lobby'), will speak on
“The Israel Lobby.” His visit comes at the invitation of the Pacifica
Forum, a local discussion group founded by retired University of Oregon
professor Orval Etter (Orval Etter, associate professor emeritus. B.S., 1937, J.D., 1939, Oregon. (1939)).
Calling the Kennedy School of Govt at Harvard, we have a message for Herr Doktor Smears and Gruppenfuhrer Waltheimer. Advertisements for the event feature the image of a snake in the shape
of a Star of David with the legend "The Israel Lobby: How Powerful Is
It?"
Weber, a historian who grew up in Portland, describes himself as a
Holocaust revisionist. But detractors point to Weber’s own writings in
labeling him a white supremacist, racist and anti-Semite.
“People
may think I’m wrong or I’m right, but they should have a chance to hear
what I have to say,” Weber said in a telephone interview from his
institute’s office in Newport Beach, Calif.
Can you imagine? Any view is due equal consideration? Is this the adulterated thinking of university symposiums?
What is this forum anyway ..check out their schedual:
10/26 - George Beres continues talk on the Mearsheimer-Walt book and recent Portland appearance.
10/19 - A review of Mearsheimer-Walt book, "The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy"
10/12 - video - "Hijacking Catastrophe: 9/11, Fear & the Selling of American Empire"
10/5 - anniversary of Gandhi's birth - field trip to Knight library
9/28 - The Spiritual Basis of 9/11 and the 'War' on Terror -(Orval Etter)
9/21 - Post-Mortem on the Tolerance/Intolerance Breakfast, (reports and discussion)
9/14 - Complicity on 9/11:? Common-Sense Physics and The WORLD TRADE TOWERS - Dan Athearn
Clearly, masquerading as opposition and dissident opinion, we have racist 'trufing' perhaps of the John Birch variey morphed via the leftist elite into the UNHOLY ALLIANCE of true stupidity.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former President Jimmy Carter on Wednesday
denounced Vice President Dick
Cheney as a "disaster" for the country
and a "militant" who has had an excessive influence in setting foreign
policy.
Cheney has been on the wrong side of the debate on many issues,
including an internal White House discussion over Syria in which the
vice president is thought to be pushing a tough approach, Carter said.
"He's a militant who avoided any service of his own in the military
and he has been most forceful in the last 10 years or more in
fulfilling some of his more ancient commitments that the United States
has a right to inject its power through military means in other parts
of the world," Carter told the BBC in an interview to air later on
Wednesday.
"You know he's been a disaster for our country," Carter said.
James Earl Carter as he left office did so with the highest combined unemployment and interest rates in the history of the nation, amid failures in Iran both in abetting via inaction the first Islamic revolutionary govt in history in place of a loyal ally, failing to protect his subordinates there, failing to rescue them, failing to prevent a Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, failing to remove Soviet troops from Cuba and uphold the Monroe Doctrine, and was then removed from office by the american people in a historic level rejection of a sitting president.
Since leaving office this man has repeatedly attacked the Jewish people here and in Israel, aided and abetted the elevation of America hating clearly racist dictators, and in violation of 200+ years of tradition, criticized sitting presidents after leaving office.
Mr. Carter has been one of the worst presidents we have ever had, and is clearly the most execrable ex president in the history of this republic.
Why is the existance of Israel compulsory in this world?
Man Held in Rabbi Stabbing in Germany
FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - Police arrested a German man of Afghan parentage in the stabbing of a rabbi in Frankfurt last week, prosecutors said Friday.
The 22-year-old was arrested in Frankfurt Thursday night and admitted to stabbing the rabbi, Zalman Gurevitch, prosecutors in the city said in a statement. The man is being investigated on suspicion of attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm.
According to the rabbi, the assailant said "I'll kill you, you (expletive) Jew," prosecutors say.
However, prosecutors said the suspect—whose name they did not release—denies having either any intention of killing the rabbi and any anti-Semitic motive.
The Frankfurt-born German citizen, whose parents come from Afghanistan, maintains that he greeted the rabbi with the words "salem aleikum," or "peace upon you." In their statement, they said that there was then "an exchange of words which ended in a physical confrontation."
The suspect said that he "felt physically inferior to the rabbi and so reached for his knife," they added. The weapon had a 3-inch blade.
Holocaust song has cellular firm squirming
TORONTO (Reuters) - Canada's biggest phone company has apologized after a punk-rock reference to the Holocaust appeared on billboard advertisements for its cellphones.
The ads for Bell Canada's (BCE.TO: Quote, Profile, Research) Solo discount service showed a young woman decked out in flashy punk rock attire, with a button that reads "Belsen was a gas" -- the controversial title of a song by the Sex Pistols, and a reference to Nazi Germany's Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
"It was inadvertent," Bell Canada spokesman Mark Langton said on Friday, noting that the dozen ads were taken down as soon as the company realized its mistake. "Obviously, we would never depict such an offensive slogan in our advertising."
He said Bell officials approved the ads after examining sample images that were smaller than the final billboards. The button inscription could only be read when the ads were blown up to their full size, he said.
"In the proofing and approval materials, it was impossible to see the button, so our folks missed it."
BCE apologizes "for any offense or distress that we caused," Langton said.
The billboards appeared in mass-transit systems in Vancouver, British Columbia, as well as in Toronto, which has a large Jewish community and many Holocaust survivors.
Nothing on this planet changes, except our vigilance, and stamina
Who recently said: "These Jews started 19 Crusades. The 19th was World War (1). Why? Only to build Israel."
Some holdover Nazi?
Hardly. It was former Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan of Turkey, a NATO ally. He went on to claim that the Jews -- whom he refers to as "bacteria" -- controlled China, India and Japan, and ran the United States.
Who alleged: "The Arabs who were involved in 9/11 cooperated with the Zionists, actually. It was a cooperation. They gave them the perfect excuse to denounce all Arabs."
A conspiracy nut?
Actually, it was former Democratic U.S. Sen. James Abourezk of South Dakota. He denounced Israel on a Hezbollah-owned television station, adding: "I marveled at the Hezbollah resistance to Israel. . . . It was a marvel of organization, of courage and bravery."
And finally, who claimed at a United Nations-sponsored conference that democratic Israel was "much worse" than the former apartheid South Africa, and that it "undermines the international community's reaction to global warming"? A radical environmentalist wacko?
Again, no. It was Clare Short, a member of the British parliament. She was a secretary for international development under Prime Minister Tony Blair.
A new virulent strain of the old anti-Semitism is spreading worldwide. This hate -- of a magnitude not seen in over 70 years -- is not just espoused by Iran's loony president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, or radical jihadists.
The latest anti-Semitism is also now mouthed by world leaders and sophisticated politicians and academics. Their loathing often masquerades as "anti-Zionism" or "legitimate" criticism of Israel. But the venom exclusively reserved for the Jewish state betrays their existential hatred.
Israel is always lambasted for entering homes in the West Bank to look for Hamas terrorists and using too much force. But last week the world snoozed when the Lebanese army bombarded and then crushed the Nahr al-Bared refugee camp, which harbored Islamic terrorists.
The world has long objected to Jewish settlers buying up land in the West Bank. Yet Hezbollah, flush with Iranian money, is now purchasing large tracts in southern Lebanon for military purposes and purging them of non-Shiites. Here at home, "neoconservative" has become synonymous with a supposed Jewish cabal of Washington insiders who hijacked U.S. policy to take us to war for Israel's interest. That our state department is at the mercy of a Jewish lobby is the theme of a recent high-profile book by professors at Harvard University and the University of Chicago.
Herb Keinon, THE JERUSALEM POST A survey by a respected journal showing that 15 of 108 foreign policy elites in the US believe Israel does not serve US national security interests has raised eyebrows in Jerusalem. It precedes the publication in early September of a book by two US professors slamming the Israel-US alliance.
The journal, Foreign Policy, on Monday published its "terrorism index," asking a bipartisan group of former "secretaries of state, national security advisors, senior White House aides, top commanders in the US military, seasoned intelligence professionals, and distinguished academics" a variety of questions having to do with US national security issues.
When given a list of US allies and asked to choose the one country that least serves US national security interests, 14 percent of the respondents picked Israel.
Russia led the list, with 34% saying it least served US interests, followed by 22% who said Pakistan, 17% who selected Saudi Arabia, and 5% each for Egypt and Mexico.
The journal billed the respondents, whose names were not supplied, as America's "top foreign-policy experts." Forty-five of the respondents described themselves as Democrats, 24 as Republicans, and the rest as Independents.
One diplomatic official in Jerusalem, while acknowledging that 14% is a considerable minority, said he was still worried by the trend.
"Considering the closeness and importance of our ties with Washington, this is something we need to watch," he said.
The official said that while in the past the notion that the US alliance with Israel harmed US interests was a belief relegated to individuals on the far right, such as Pat Buchanan, and the far left, like Noam Chomsky, this survey indicated that the idea was gaining prominence among the elites.
This idea is starting to make it into the mainstream, the official said, citing as an example a paper published last year by University of Chicago political scientist John Mearsheimer and Harvard University's Stephen Walt arguing that the US was willing to "set aside its own security" to advance Israel's interests because of AIPAC and the Israel lobby.
Teachers drop the Holocaust to avoid offending Muslims
Schools are dropping the Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, a Governmentbacked study has revealed.
It found some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial.
The moral and physical cowardice, and the falling from the sprirt of those who stood alone against the nazis is one of the most overwhelmingly DISGUSTING historical abdications of freedom in all of HISTORY.
U.S., Israel conduct missile defense simulations against potential Iran strike
GERTZ:
TEL AVIV — Israel and the United States have been holding a missile defense simulation exercise designed to integrate the systems of both countries and to answer a strike from Iran. The Juniper Cobra-2007 exercise began in early March and was scheduled to end on March 20 in military bases in Israel. Officials said the current exercise — also intended to defend against an Iranian and Syrian ballistic missile strike — would not use live missile fire because of logistical difficulties stemming from the war against Hizbullah in mid-2006. Instead, the exercise was based on software simulation at the Israel Air Force air defense command. Officers from Israel and the U.S. Army V Corps' 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade joined in the effort to enhance interoperability in command and control and battle management.
Kucinich Hires "Critic" of Israel , and Chomskyite critic of US for Hill Panel -Politico
SALAFI FREAK ALERT?
Democratic Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich of Ohio has hired an avowed critic of Israel to work on his subcommittee of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Rep. Henry A. Waxman (D-Calif.), who is Jewish and a staunch supporter of Israel, chairs the full panel. Kucinich, who is again seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, hired Noura Erakat, a former grass-roots organizer, to work on the domestic policy subcommittee that he chairs. Before coming to Capitol Hill, Erakat, a Palestinian, served as the national grass-roots organizer and legal advocate for the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation, a group that seeks "to change those U.S. policies that both sustain Israel's 39-year occupation of the Palestinian West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem, and deny equal rights for all."
Yesterday, during the year’s first meeting of the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva, U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon stated, “The world is watching to see whether this young council will live up to its promise.”
Council this year:
Algeria Argentina Bahrain Czech Republic Ecuador Finland India Indonesia Morocco Netherlands Philippines Poland South Africa Tunisia
Since its inception a year ago, the new U.N. Human Rights Council, which replaced the infamously politicized Human Rights Commission, has passed eight, one-sided resolutions accusing Israel of human rights violations and four more are planned. Among the issues scheduled for discussion during the Council’s meeting is U.N. Special RapporteurJohnDugard’s new report claiming that Israel is an occupying force among the Palestinians and that she has committed crimes such as apartheid and colonialism.
Dugard declares that: “The construction of the wall, the expansion of settlements and the de-Palestinization of Jerusalem are incompatible with the two-state solution.” The only option left, he writes, is to do away with Israel.
Damaging misinformation is being conveyed about Israel not just in news stories, but in popular culture items as well, such as Oprah and Vogue magazine, and now a popular NBC police drama.
A "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" television episode that aired Tuesday, February 27, 2007, fosters negative stereotypes of Jews as disloyal Americans and Israelis as brutes who demolish Palestinian schools and kill innocent civilians.
During this time of escalating anti-Semitism and anti-Israel animus, the show's executives have shown extremely poor judgment to promote such an anti-Jewish, anti-Israel storyline.
It is a truism that when historical changes occur that end in cataclysmic events, it is not so easy to go back even in relatively recent history to find the moment and the event that signifies that slide.
If we go back to the causes of WW2, do we look to the Treaty of Versailles? Do we look at the failure of the west to rapidly and forcefully repel the German resurgence in the Rhineland in 1936?
Do we look at the banal acceptance by western civilization of the idea that the Germans, after all did have some reasonable requests for a put upon people, and that in the zero sum game of earth, what they were entitled to, others would suffer the loss of?
Or do we point to the moment that the German people accepted the great myth? The myth that the German Army, undefeated in 1918, was stabbed in the back by a gang of connivers and corrupters, in league with the communists, and certain worldwide powerful commercial interests with bigger fish to fry. You know who they were.
So comes Orson Scott Card and his description of a book by Steve Berry called The Alexandria Link..a book Mr. Card calls evil.
Why? It both promulgates racism by its banal, lazy, uncritical acceptance of the big lie, and promotes unfairly to say the least, the idea that those saved from 2500 years of religious and racist repression, and exterminations by the state which protects them, have no right to that state.
So as we slide from 9/11 thru Howard (F*ck the Jews) Baker's ISG report, past Jim Moran, John Conyers , Wesley Clark's New York jews' money, we can see that cementing the tissue of all these racist lies is the background of the monumental falsehood, of the apartheid state, the apartheid wall, the nakba, the powerful jews of the huge Israel oppressing the few palestinians, of a nation stolen.
The falsehood stands like that of Ludendorf's Army. A chimera, which accepted, becomes the signifying fact, and the continental divide.
We are on the wrong side of the mountain. Heading down.
Dr. Toaff has just published a book which purports to claim that the blood libels, specifically that of Trent...welll.....
"My research has shown that in the Middle Ages, a group of fundamentalist Jews did not respect the biblical prohibition [against the consumption of blood]. . . It is just one group of Jews, who belonged to the communities that suffered the severest persecutions during the crusades. From this trauma came a passion for revenge that in some cases led to responses, among them ritual murder of Christian children."
Haaretz adds..
"... some blood libels - accusations that Jews killed Christians in ritual murders to add their blood to matzah and wine on Passover - may be based on real ceremonies in which the blood of Christians was actually used."
What is this new POS exposition based on?
Nothing more than the regurgitated confessions, taken under torture at the time.
IT GETS WORSE for the anti racists in the world, who harbor in their hearts the STUPID LIBERAL HOPE that one day, racism can actually be overcome.
(Also known as ..."Too many jews in Israel, btw ,, or NYC for that matter, eh, or too many african-americans in the NAACP, too many Italians in the Knights of Columbus, how about to many Georgians in the KKK, you gavone?)But of course to SOME PEOPLE, jewish people are too thin skimned
TEL AVIV – Former President Jimmy Carter once complained there were "too many Jews" on the government's Holocaust Memorial Council, Monroe Freedman, the council's former executive director, told WND in an exclusive interview.
Freedman, who served on the council during Carter's term as president, also revealed a noted Holocaust scholar who was a Presbyterian Christian was rejected from the council's board by Carter's office because the scholar's name "sounded too Jewish."
Freedman, now a professor of law at Hofstra University, was picked by the council's chairman, author Elie Weisel, to serve as executive director in 1980. The council, created by the Carter White House, went on to establish the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. Freedman says he was tasked with creating a board for the council and with making recommendations to the White House on how best to memorialize the Holocaust.
He told WND he sent a memo to Carter's office containing recommendations for council board members.
He said his memo was returned with a note on the upper right hand corner that stated, "Too many Jews."
The note, Freedman said, was written in Carter's handwriting and was initialed by Carter.
Why is there an Israel? Because of the effete, galactically assumptive 'correctness' of utter morons such as Mr. Carter, whose agog-making attitude of superiority manifested in an overbearing manner, manages continually to suck the oxygen out of the earth.
TAKE BACK THE NOBEL, THIS MAN IS A WHITE CRACKER OF THE FIRST ORDER, AFTER ALL !
PBS broadcast a special documentary on modern antisemitism, and inadvertently put on display one of the most pressing inaccuracies regarding modern antisemitism.
Add to this the NYT review of this, and holy shnikees Batman, we really have a hologram of the problem In effect, PBS and the NYT put the onus for muslim racism on christians and jews.
The Christians, according the TV narrative, invented it, and by choosing to have a nation (and self defense) after 2000 years of 'Christian' antisemitism, the jews joined this mental disease to the poor innocent muslims of the middle east.
Now admittedly, while watching this last night, and seeing the face of Mr. Judt, who in not defending Walt and Mearsheimer on TV managed to appear not off the wall, I was dismayed.
And certainly, in reading the review/preview, and seeing the dismay of the NYT at Bernard Lewis not being identified as a jew who pushed Cheney to invade Iraq (which somehow is also responsible for more antisemitism foisted on more innocent arabs by american jew duped WASP's, I assume to protect the state there as a result of prior christian antisemitism), one looks and one sees the complete elite progressive, theoretically, I suppose, harmless racism of the Margaux and Volvo hands off superior, 'we know better', insufferables.
However, while agreeing with some of the items presented as facts last night, I have a far different take on modern antisemitism.
In an effort to put a stop to Israeli overflights in Lebanon, the French Armed Forces has deployed an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) squadron in southern Lebanon to conduct intelligence-gathering missions in place of the IDF.
France, a member of UNIFIL, has expressed adamant opposition to IAF overflights in Lebanon. Last month, OC Planning Division Maj.-Gen. Ido Nehushtan traveled to Paris for meetings with senior military officials during which he tried to explain Israel's operational needs. The flights, the IDF claims, are necessary for gathering intelligence and keeping an eye on the Lebanese-Syrian border through which weapons are smuggled to the Hizbullah.
Angered however from an incident in October during which French soldiers almost opened fire at an IAF fighter jet, military sources in Paris told The Jerusalem Post following Nehushtan's visit that they were still opposed to the overflights and that French soldiers stationed in Lebanon were given the authority to open fire at Israeli jets if they felt threatened by the flights.
According to Israeli defense sources, the French initiative is also meant to prove the operational capabilities of its UAVs so they can compete against Israeli defense industries on the global UAV market.
This is a history professor, you know, like Will and Ariel Durant, or VD Hanson, or Bernard Lewis, or Doris Kearns Goodwin, or even like Tony Judt or Jared Diamond?
Here's the thing... if this was just the Huffington, we all go oh well, but this piece of garbage appears also on the History News Network. How can someone like Judith Apter Klinghoffer ( of David Irving lawsuit fame) STAND IT
Prime Minister Olmert On Iran: I'll Do Everything in My Power That The Jewish People Will Never Again Be Exposed To The Threat of Annihilation
He is not believable.
Such a statement needs either the unmistakable backing of performance, which certainly FAILED in Lebanon, or the Sherman like granite inflexibility of promise to be carried out.
Try this, you putz:
"Israel to guarantee the survival of the few Jewish people, will abandon its guarantee NOT to be the 1st to use nuclear weapons on the day we believe Iran has tested a nuclear weapon. I will use all means compulsory to act in the defense of the Jewish people from the promised holocaust by every leader of Iran since 1979. I urge the people of Iran to save themselves, and take matters into their own hands"
UGH !!!
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert paid an historic visit to the Simon Wiesenthal Center and toured the Museum of Tolerance on November 15, 2006. The Prime Minister was accompanied by both Israel's new Ambassador to the United States, Sallai Meridor and UN Ambassador, Dan Gillerman, along with Chief of Staff, Yoran Turbowitz and Consul General to Los Angeles, Ehud Danoch.
Samir Ubeid, an Iraqi Researcher Living in Europe: The Nobel Prize Is Racist and Stems from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion
Robin Williams appearing with Steve Martin in Marat/Sade as rewritten by Woody Allen could not be stranger than this
Samir 'Ubeid: I don’t call it the Nobel prize – I call it the "Hubal" [idol] prize.
Interviewer: Hubal?
Samir 'Ubeid: Yes, because it often encourages heresy. It encourages attacks against the heritage, and encourages those who scorn their people and their culture. The proof is that it was awarded recently to Pamuk, who had encouraged civil strife, which might preoccupy Turkey and the Muslims in general. He held Turkey responsible for what the Ottoman state did, when he referred to the massacre of the Armenians.
[...]
Interviewer: In other words, if you are a traitor to your country, you deserve this prize.
Samir 'Ubeid: If you are a traitor to your country, and a heretic, who curses his Prophet, you deserve a Nobel Prize.
Why has the prize been awarded to 167 Jews, and to only four Arabs out of 380 million Arabs – and all four are considered traitors? For example, Al-Sadat got the prize during the normalization process, and as a price for Camp David, together with Begin, who committed Deir Yassin massacre, and who was in the "Hagana" gangs. Later, the prize was awarded to [Ahmad] Al-Zewail, in order to buy his invention, and Al-Zewail has disappeared since.
Interviewer: You mean the Egyptian Ahmad Al-Zewail?
Samir 'Ubeid: Yes, the Egyptian chemist. The prize was also awarded to Muhammad Al-Baradei, and in this case, it is soaked in the blood of the Iraqi children and people.
[...]
Mother Teresa was brought, along with a group of people like her…
Interviewer: Some say the prize was awarded to her for her missionary activity in Africa, India, and so on...
Samir 'Ubeid: Let’s assume she was righteous, according to the logic of the media, which is now controlled by the Jews and Hollywood. When they awarded the prize to Teresa, they wee trying to award an "artificial hymen" or "artificial honor" to this prize. My colleague said that there is democracy. What democracy is there, if out of 1.5 billion Chinese, only two or three were awarded the Nobel? If you examine the Russian scientists and writers, who shook the world with their literature and their knowledge... What about Sakharov, what about Tolstoy? In addition...
Interviewer: But Sakharov was awarded the Nobel prize.
Is Israel bluffing? ....bring down our first contestant, Mahmoud, Bill
Israel will not accept a nuclear Iran
- visiting Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told US television, but while not ruling out military action, said he hoped diplomacy would dissuade Tehran from pursuing its nuclear program.
"We will not tolerate the possession of nuclear weapons by Iran," Olmert told NBC television's "Today Show" program, ahead of talks with President George W. Bush on Iran's nuclear ambitions and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
I think they mean it, especially with the USA about to rediscover the meaning of the words "shriveled scrotum" in the White House. Israel will perceive itself to be on its own, and while that increase their jeopardy, it also increases their freedom and reduces their responsibilities to others.
Asked whether his country was considering a preemptive strike targeting Tehran's nuclear facilities, Olmert answered: "I hope we don't have to reach that stage."
But the Israel leader said his first choice is a negotiated resolution.
"Every compromise that will stop Iran from acquiring nuclear capabilities, which will be acceptable to President Bush, would be acceptable to me."
Olmert added that he was not seeking Washington's protection from Tehran.
"I am not coming to the United States to ask America to save Israel," he said, saying his country had drawn the lessons of the Holocaust and World War II.
You had such a hard time believing that, you read this, right?
Well here is the real headline:
UN seeks end to 'very dangerous' overflights
BEIRUT: A senior United Nations envoy said Friday that Israel's continued violations of Lebanese airspace "are very dangerous," stressing the world body's keenness to "halt or at least reduce" Israeli overflights in the coming weeks. This came as France said Friday it hoped the US would put pressure on Israel to end military flights over Lebanon, after French peacekeepers nearly launched missiles at Israeli jets flying carrying out mock raids.
"This message must be sent by France and other countries, and also the UN ... We hope the Americans can send the same type of message to the Israelis," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Jean-Baptiste Mattei.
What fatuous smarmy cretins.
The entire purpose of the flights are to ensure the Israelis KNOW what is being smuggled and dug in, in violation of the UN Resolution the French and the UN are sidelining by winking and nodding at the hizballah murderers.
Argentine lawyer asks to jail Iran officials for Jewish center blast
Argentine prosecutors on Wednesday asked a federal judge to issue an arrest warrant against former Iranian president Hashemi Rafsanjani and seven others for the 1994 bombing of a Jewish cultural center that killed scores of people.
From Haaretz:
Prosecutor Alberto Nisman told a news conference that the decision to attack the center "was undertaken in 1993 by the highest authorities of the then-government of Iran."
Federal Judge Rodolfo Canicoba Corral had no public comments f9-09wing the news conference by Nisman and fellow prosecutor Marcelo Martinez Burgo. The judge, under Argentine law, is allowed an indefinite amount of time to accept or reject the recommendations.
The two prosecutors urged the judge to seek international and national arrest orders for Rafsanjani, who was Iran's president between 1989 and 1997.
They also asked the judge to detain several other former Iranian
officials, including a former intelligence chief, Ali Fallahijan, and former Foreign Minister Ali Ar Velayati.
After Hizballah Iran Outright mass murder Any Questions?
The American Thinker ..thinks clearly ..in a stellar fisking ***or abacadabra ..we hate ourselves and the jews ..nomatter what because we actually have a mental disease, and that' swhy we can do away with facts ..they don't fit the sickness dialectic***
In the vision of certain members of the press, Israel is a colonialist mass murderer, and the word terrorist does not exist without quotation marks surrounding it. Israelis are aggressors. Islamist terrorists, be they Palestinians or Iranian backed Hezb’allah, are victims. These media types come to the Middle East with their narrative firmly in place. It is so because they believe it to be so.
I was an eyewitness to a classic example of this in Jenin, in 2002. Western journalists and United Nation envoys were in an uproar over an alleged Israeli massacre of a thousand Palestinians. There were grisly, supposed eyewitness, accounts of Israeli bulldozers shoveling hundreds of corpses of helpless Palestinian refugees into mass graves. There were stories of Israeli soldiers murdering Palestinian children in front of their parents and then throwing their bodies into wells and sewage pits.
Comparisons were made to ethnic cleansing in the Balkans, to Nazi war crimes and the term genocide was spoken with righteous indignation. The truth turned out to be somewhat less Baroque. There was a battle not a massacre.
In that battle some fifty Palestinian combatants were killed, as were twenty three Israeli soldiers. The battle was a ferocious one and in the Arab press there were glowing tales of the fifty Palestinian fighters who fell in glorious combat against the Zionist enemy they valiantly slaughtered. But to the majority of Western journalists the facts became a footnote on the inside pages, reported weeks after the front page banner line headlines screamed about the supposed massacre.
Remember the story of the bief standoff between the French and Israeli tankers?
Here's one reality ...It's Debka ..
The south Lebanese village of Merwahin was the stage Thursday, Sept 28 of the first near-showdown between UN and Israeli forces. DEBKAfile publishes here the first photo of an encounter between 4 French Leclerc and at least 5 Israeli Merkava tanks in that Lebanese village.
Despite the photographic evidence, Israel officially denies the incident. DEBKAfile reports the French force sought to prevent the Israeli unit from combing through the Hizballah-dominated village in search of the raiders who crossed into Israel and broke into the IDF’s Kibbutz Shomera arms store last week. They made off with a large quantity of side-arms, anti-tank weapons, LAU rockets and hundreds of combat grenades, which the Israeli force was determined to recover.
American and German correspondents who witnessed the incident report that the two tank units held menacing positions 50 meters apart for about half an hour, after which the French tanks broke off contact and turned tail.
C'est IMPOSSIBLE! Ratrait, pour les francais ? IMPOSSIBLE !
The French commander claims the Israel tanks retreated first. DEBKAfile’s military sources note that this was the second incidence of French backing for Hizballah. On Sept 22, French fighter jets were seen cruising in Beirut’s skies above the podium of Hassan Nasrallah’s “victory speech.” He boasted then that he was not afraid to address the masses directly instead of through armored glass.
Imagine, the French protecting hizballah killers who had just done some weapons thieving, inside Israel ...it's just too hard to believe, non, mes amis?
In a headlined Drudge title, Mel Gibson speaking of his new movie says:
In describing its portrait of a civilization in decline, Gibson said, "The precursors to a civilization that's going under are the same, time and time again," drawing parallels between the Mayan civilization on the brink of collapse and America's present situation. "What's human sacrifice," he asked, "if not sending guys off to Iraq for no reason?"
Gibson:
The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.
So who, I wonder does he think is responsible for sending the boys off, and the decline of american civilization? Perhaps someone in the background?
What is amazing is the rationality with which humans can convince themselves that rational racism is hunky dory, and imagine that facts really back up their personality disorder.
Considering Mr. Glover's ill conceived, and embarrassing man crush on Hugo Chavez nearly resulting in a french kiss last week, it's pretty easy to change the channel when their buddy movies appear.
Al Reuters -Sudan blames Israel and Jews for many of its woes
UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Sudan's president said on Tuesday his country would never allow U.N. peacekeepers into Darfur and charged that the West wanted to dismember his country in order to help
Israel."It is very clear there is a plan to redraw the region," especially after the invasion of
Iraq, President Omar Hassan al-Bashir told a news conference on the sidelines of a ministerial U.N. General Assembly session.
"The main purpose is the security of Israel. Any state in the region should be weakened, dismembered in order to protect the Israelis, to guarantee the Israeli security," he said.
Asked about Sunday's rallies Darfur peace rallies from Rwanda to San Francisco, Bashir said they were "invariably organized by Zionist Jewish organizations."
A string of anti-Semitic rants about Sen. Joe Lieberman have popped up on the liberal MoveOn.org's open forum Web site, drawing criticism from the Anti-Defamation League
It's the latest flap in the contentious race between Lieberman, who is running as an independent to keep his seat in Connecticut, and upstart Ned Lamont, the Democratic nominee.
"We recognize that Action Forum is an open forum intended to foster the free flow of ideas," ADL head Abraham Foxman said in a letter dated Aug. 31 to MoveOn, which supported Lamont in the Democratic primary against Lieberman.
"Nevertheless, since such profoundly offensive content is appearing on a board clearly linked to MoveOn.org, we believe you should assume some responsibility to respond to this hateful content," Foxman wrote in the letter, which was forwarded by Lieberman's campaign.
If this were the only such incident, then it might be dismissable...but after Walt and Mearsheimer, after the hideous collegiate examples of Harvard and San Francisco over the past years, there can be no doubt that the forces once looked to to destroy the KKK, to oppose racial segregation and bigotry have now been coopted past recovery to be wed to that which they hated in order to oppose Israel, and do so inevitably because it is filled with jews.
On Thursday an all-party parliamentary inquiry will state that anti-Semitic violence has become endemic in Britain, both on the streets and university campuses. The report will call for urgent action from the Government, the police and educational establishments.
Gee what a shock, right?
Attacks on Jews soar since Lebanon
By Joanna Bale and Anthony Browne
Synagogues and citizens have been targeted
BRITISH Jews are facing a wave of anti-Semitic attacks prompted by Israel’s conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon. Synagogues have been daubed with graffiti, Jewish leaders have had hate-mail and ordinary people have been subjected to insults and vandalism.
On Thursday an all-party parliamentary inquiry will state that anti-Semitic violence has become endemic in Britain, both on the streets and university campuses. The report will call for urgent action from the Government, the police and educational establishments.
Mark Gardner, of the Community Security Trust, said: “In July, when the conflict in Lebanon began, we received reports of 92 incidents, which was the third-worst month since records began in 1984.” In 2000 the monthly average was between 10 and 30 incidents.
With Israel's prime minister standing by his side, U.N. Secretary- General Kofi Annan renewed his demands Wednesday that Israel immediately lift its sea and air blockade of Lebanon, but failed to win Israel's consent.
Annan also said he hoped Israel would withdraw all its forces from south Lebanon once the number of U.N. forces in Lebanon has doubled to 5,000, a number he said could be reached in "coming days and weeks."
However, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert suggested Israel was not prepared to do that until a U.N.-brokered cease-fire deal that ended 34 days of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah guerrillas was implemented fully.
Ever wonder if the Pulitzer has become an Oscar for comedy and incompetence? Reporter: Israel deliberately not destroying launchers
Top Washington Post military reporter Tom Ricks severely criticized after suggesting Israel is intentionally leaving Hizbullah rocket launchers intact to maintain moral defense to strike civilian targets in Lebanon
WASHINGTON - Tom Ricks, military reporter for the Washington Post, accused Israel Tuesday of intentionally failing to destroy a number of rocket launchers in south Lebanon, to maintain a moral defense to its striking civilian of targets in Lebanon.
Ricks, who was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in journalism and recently published his new book "Fiasco" on the failure of the American war in Iraq, made the comments during an interview on CNN. Ricks, who was hosted on the Howard Kurtz's weekly media review show on the CNN news network, said: "Civilian casualties are also part of the battlefield play for both sides here. One of the things that is going on, according to some US military analysts, is that Israel purposely has left pockets of Hizbullah rockets in Lebanon, because as long as they're being rocketed, they can continue to have a sort of moral equivalency in their operations in Lebanon."
Shocked by the prominent commentator's accusation, interviewer Howard Kurtz replied, "hold on, you're suggesting that Israel has deliberately allowed Hizbullah to retain some of it's fire power, essentially for PR purposes, because having Israeli civilians killed helps them in the public relations war here?"
Officially, Israel's ground invasion of Lebanon is an act of self-defense against Hezbollah's threat, aimed at creating a security buffer zone until the arrival of a "multinational force with an enforcement capability". But increasingly, as the initial goal of a narrow strip of only a few kilometers has now been extended up to the Litani River deep in Lebanon, the real motives behind Israel's invasion are becoming crystal-clear.
It's about (de facto) annexation, stupid. This is a war to annex a major chunk of Lebanese territory without necessarily saying so, under the pretext of security buffer and deterrence against future attacks on Israel.
Already, since the Six Day War, Israel has annexed the Sheba Farms, considered part of the Syrian Golan Heights, although thegovernment of Lebanon has long complained that the 25-square-kilometer area was a part of Lebanon. Now the Israeli army is sweeping the area south of the Litani River as a temporary occupation.
So if Lebanon, a fool's state, that failed to live up to its responsibilities as a government by allowing private militias to not only establish state policies, but start wars, suffers in some way by having an outside force to therefore ENSURE such responsibilities occurs, that is the jews plan to annex southern Lebanon. This guy is typical moron, oh an d by the way there was no mention of either the doctored photos in the Asia Times, nor the claims that it's Hizballah guilty of war crimes in Qana
